EOTD: Natural Fall Color

Fall is pretty much related with leaves color (at least for me). It has always been related with brown. I'm loving fall very much except rainy days when I'm almost off from work!

I've got my 88 bh tropical matte palette for few months when they having their 35% off summer deal. Tropical palette is combined with lots of colors, warm tone mostly. I think the packing is way better than coastal scent, colors combination & pigmentation is really not bad. Although it named as matte palette, there's so many shimmer colors as well. For me, it is not a bad thing...

I've circled it with red color (colors I'm using for this look), at the top left, it is a white shimmer color & matte peachy pink. I forgot to swatch @.@, as for other main colors for the look , swatches as below.

A golden brown frosty finished, matte chocolate brown, shimmery dark olive green. Lips color using : Kate Liquid Rouge BE-4.

I create a natural EOTD with simple colors. I'm not very fond with other colors this season, sticking with natural colors with different finished & tone looks way better. Since I'm working in office and meet up with customer, simple is just perfect!

Using kate brow powder in dark brown, Majorlica liquid liner in dark green, shisem falsies,

Maybelline the falsies in black, Koji pencil liner in black.

Etude House Refreshment

Hello lovely, it has been a month, I'm glad that I've still keep this blog going on after such long break. Work has been really tough and hectic lately and I'm really tired during the weekdays.

I've some training to go on, project to do and etc. Time just really not enough at all, I'm STRESS!!!

Well, lets move on to some happy stuff. I've not visited to Etude House quite some time, seriously I'm so outdated with everything right now. Ha~ I'm currently using Korean Skincare mixture of The Face Shop, It's Skin, Etude House.

I spent some $ on these...

The SA that served me was really helpful and humble. Unlike some SA that acted so pushy and proud. These items were recommended by him but based on my personal preferences. Thank you!

Since my purchase was over RM80, he gave me these freebies. These are great for travel, very convenient. I've not tried any of these yet. Adorable~ As refer to the right side (HONEY), it comes with 4 types of honey wash off masks and another 4 types of milk was off masks. According to the SA, each tiny container of mask can be used twice, so the remaining should be kept in fridge.

I believe the Aloe moistfull series came out not long ago during the summer. This is a soothing gel. Feels like water upon application. Very cool! The scent is light and quiet refreshing.

Another freebies, these are wash off masks. However, it comes with a morning pack and night pack. The morning pack used in the morning, massage and rinse off. However, it can be used as sleeping mask during the night time. meanwhile for the sunset pack, is just use for night time as wash off mask.

Next, I've terrible experience with eye skincare. It is either too light weight or too greasy. Drying cause premature wrinkles under the eye. I see this happened to me. No matter how many eye mask I used it is still the same. Seriously, I'm really mad with this. Anyhow, eye skincare is needed.

This eye cream stick is cute! It comes with 2 types, 1 is with SPF (mint flavour) the one the I bought here is for night use. I purchased it because the SA told me I need something for my dark circles and the lines~~~~ duh~

And for your information, it isn't cheap for this tiny amount. Kinda expensive for the price, but you get the cutie packing. hahaha! I'm using it for the 3rd day, so far is still in the grey area of (ok and meh). Will report back after it almost hit the pan, soon.... cause it is terribly little.

The plus point is it is absolutely friendly to travel.

Review: CE Papaya Jelly Mask

Jelly mask, is more similar like a thick gel that people apply over the skin . There's a numbers of jelly mask in the market, among the famous one is Laneige Water Bank sleeping mask, Naruko Night Jelly mask, etc.

I've tried lots of masks and I can assure you, sheet masks are the best travel companion. Jelly mask makes of high water concentration, protect the skin from further dehydration / repairing the skin condition / soothing, etc...

I've been using this jelly mask for 3 months now, so far I'm liking it.

From the pictures above shows the ingredients, texture and most of the details about this product.

Texture: very jelly like and watery

Usage: Normally I used this as the final step of my skincare(night). I just spritz some Avene Thermal Face mist, pat it into the skin and apply a thick layer of the mask. I dries up like a thin mask layer on the skin. Wash it off the next morning.

Price: MYR 66 (during beauty exhibition)

Review: Since I'm still experience a minor acne breakout, this mask do keep acne at bay, but it think it serves better in moisturizing the skin than prevent any sort of acne breakout. I like how it moisten my skin as I do have really dries skin over the days (working in air conditioning room). However, in terms of reduce pores I can't tell much since I don't think I see any results at this point.

Overall, I would say this is a great alternative for jelly mask that cost higher. It comes with various types to suit difference types of skin. This mask was recommended by my beautician. I'll see how it works for another few more months till I hit pan.

On Budget House Moving Tips

House moving?! I can't stop telling you all how much I hate this house moving thingy~ It took a lot of time, energy, money and planning. I'm on the house moving process whereby I really don't have time to rest on the weekends/blog.

Since I started my university life, enter the 'society university', I have been moving over and over, shifting from room to room etc. Since an incident happened this early July, I decided to move out from my current place a.s.a.p. Not sure for people living in other country, but for me, all these while I'm only renting ROOM instead of HOUSE/APARTMENT.

I find house moving is much easier if you manage your stuff wisely. The least the better. Before going to tips on house moving, there's some facts that you need to take note.

1. Place that you are going to stay in future : distance, bedroom size

2. The condition of place that you are going to stay: fully furnished / partial furnished/ totally empty house

3. Budget

So now, once the above 3 facts been confirmed, let's decide on things you will move and organizing the room. This time I'm shifting from a master bedroom to a super tiny room (sad!) and the bedroom size is probably 1/4 size of my current room. The room is empty and I have a lot of stuff!!!

In this case it comes to budget & room organizing: budget MYR 500

1. I've purchase a bed rack for single bed size ( steel rack, so in future If I need to move again, I can bring it along) -- MYR 130

2. I also purchase a 3 doors wardrobe at TESCO, DYI (measure the bedroom size before buying any furniture) -- MYR 159

3. Getting a medium size mirror -- MYR 17

4. Reuse any smaller table

5. Reuse older small refrigerator

6. Reuse older single bed

7. Reuse older shelf

8. Distance from older place to new living place: advise to carry as much as possible per trip

if the distance is nearby things would be so much easier, if distance is further, a proper planning such as renting a lorry deliver your things should be took into consideration OR having a garage sale clear out the unwanted stuff

As long as you discard the unused things during house moving and pack things in boxes, everything should be easier. It is better to invest on some VITAL furniture that will last longer rather than buying things that are nice to see but hardly to use.

- A bigger wardrobe that fit with the structure of my up coming little room is perfect. I'll be able to store things in & on the wardrobe -> Space savior.

- A bed rack will provide some space under the bed, allow you to put / keep things under the bed

- Reuse whatever that still can be used, save money!

- Since I've mentioned how tiny my bedroom will be, smaller table that can be folded will definitely help to save up a lot of space in the room.

Review: Mandom Barrier Repair Baby Moist Lotion

Review:

Since my skin is still pretty sensitive I always make sure I got fragrance free, colorant free toner to minimize the risk of getting any allergic reaction. I've been testing this toner for about a month, and I'm liking it so far. As compared to the Hada Labo toner, this is more fluid, less thinker and less sticky. I absolutely prefer this kind of texture because I do feel it penetrates better to the skin.

The moisturizing level is okay, as long as it quenches the thirst of my skin, I'm fine with it. In terms of "CAUTION: not to use on inflammation skin ", I don't see any side effects even after I used in my daily skin regime, where I have breakouts, skin inflammation(minor). So far, I'm fine with this product.

I'm quite happy with the price especially when I got it with cheaper price than usual. I got it during Watson mid year sale. Talking about the packaging, is simple but very practical. All plastic cover and with a tight cap. Good!

In a nutshell, if you were looking for a toner that able to provide moisture yet light enough, I recommend to try this out. The price is affordable for 180mL.

Recommend: YES!

NOPS (Nature Organic PlantS)

Few months ago, I received some products from NOPS for review purposes. As far as I know, this brand is newly launch around end of 2011 in Sunway Pyramid, Malaysia. This skincare products as well as its makeup line are all originated from Korea.

Lets jump to my review part:

These are all the products I received along with the samples size. I would say the samples that I received were quite a lot. But, lets not discuss too much on it. I'll mainly focus on the products review.

I was actually allowed to choose 2 skincare products for review. Apart from that, the lady who approached me aka Ms Fibiee is very friendly and helpful. Remember, I'm having bad acne in previous days and her suggestions and recommendations are really, really good.

Anyhow, she still willing to listen my own worries and ideas on the products that I chose.

I ended up decided to pick up an eye cream and VC serum (vitamic C).

For NBI-5, it is a cream formula which based on my experience, my eyes area doesn't seem to liking it very much because it is greasy. But Ms Fibiee told me it will absorb nicely, so I trust her and give it a try.

This eye cream uses the Intelligent Delivery Skincare system so that the product able to penetrate deeply and intelligently into the skin. Since I started to have some wrinkles under my eye (>.<) premature wrinkles due to dehydration, I'm so wanted to try out anything that can erase the fine lines. It claims as eye lift up solution, anti-wrinkle system, firming & lift.

This is SCI SOFT EYE CREAM NBI-5.

Volume: 10ml

Packing: WOW, plastic needle like. Convenient to travel with.

Disperse: Pump and the amount is just nice per pump.

Texture: light cream, no greasy residue

Scent: light scent

My review: So far, this is the coolest packing I've ever encounter. By far, I'm liking the this eye cream because it keep my eye area pretty hydrated. I use this day and night as my normal skin regime. Despite of all, I have few complains about it, no SPF. And I think, it works as anti wrinkle, but will not help in reduce any wrinkles or fine lines that already exist.

Conclusion: This is a good eye cream, but if you have too much concern of an eye cream, this might not work as what you wish for. But overall, this is the eye cream I'm liking so far and it is so convenient. It also listed in my favourite products of the month.

Next, the VC 20. It contains high Vitamin C which able to brightens up your complexion and reduce skin problems such as open pores, scars, pigmentation.... What attract me the most is the packing, ampoule size which keep me thinking it is highly concentrate. But.....

Packing: COOL. I actually like it but, not convenient when it comes to travel.Huge!

Disperse: per drop, some times, it will tend to squeeze out too much

Texture: liquid water form, over application will feel sticky

Scent: light scent

My review: Sorry to say that it is terrible, totally work in different way as I've expected it to be. I'm not sure for other people, but as a science student, we all know that a fresh vitamin C aka acid ascorbic should be light yellow in color, but this products almost looking orange or brown in color which means all the vitamin C has been fully oxidize and even if it have not, it isn't a fresh or good quality vitamin C anymore. When I decided to choose this product, I thought the packing bottle is in amber condition, which mean the color of the bottle (amber) will help to reduce sunlight penetrate directly to the product inside of the bottle.

Oh well, I still willing to test it out because it is such a waste to throw a product away without testing it out. So I tried for 2 weeks and my skin dislike it. Because it is acidic, so, it stings a lot, if only I use it with face wet (put on AVENE face mist) and drop 2-3 drops on my fingers and dabbed onto my skin. I still experience minor stings. Then, my whole face turn red @>@

But when I use 4-5 drops, my skin not only turn red, the product doesn't absorb nicely, it leaves a sticky cast on my skin.

Trying out for so many times, I finally decided to give up this item. It ended staying in my dustbin.

Conclusion: Dislike. I don't recommend it to anyone else whether your skin is normal, dry or combination skin types. The Vitamin C itself is very low quality too. If you were doubted with my Vitamin C explanation, you may google it. Sir Niu Er also quoted before that a good vitaminC should look light yellow in color.

Sometimes, Skincare is like experimets - trial and error. I hope my review help and be a reference for those who are interested to try out NOPS skincare.

When Miserable Strike

Hello gorgeous,

It's me again blogging as usual. But I might stop blogging for few days / weeks. Let's keep fingers cross (*n*) things turn better for me.

I've mentioned in my twitter that I literally lived in a condition with no electricity for 2 days, no jokes and it feels so terrible and miserable. So, my internet cut off, the electricity cut off, I can't charge my laptop/ mobile phone at all. My arms and legs are still full with small red dots, ha, all because I was bitten by mosquitoes.

In the night time, I basically used with 2 fans, open windows, and electric mosquitoes coil. But now, I only lived with windows open, and a bunch of mosquitoes. When there's weird sound around, I kept on awake, because it really terrified me. Oh~

I'm currently back to my parents' house because I really can't stand living in a condition like that. I was wondering where the house owner went and WHAT IF.... the water been cut off as well? OMG, then I will turn crazy living without basic necessity

I will keep posting on my blog whenever I can. I'm in a rush to move but till now, I still cant find a room that I really like especially when there's too much things to be concerned.

Some rooms where attached with a tiny bathroom, which I hate tiny bathroom the most. Some have so many pets, which I also not fond with. The cats fur really pissed me off as I find myself having hard time in breathing. Some rooms were way to tiny than what I expect it to be and some.... totally no windows which means bad air circulation. I don't think I'm picky, but I'm so reluctant to move out from my current place. If it is not because of no electricity, I will keep on staying till I get married and resign. What a sad thing!

Lastly, I hope things turn better and if possible, I hope my house owner back soonest the better!

Now, I would share some very personal issues here. I'm having very heavy workload which makes me very tired on the weekdays, so I'm unable to blog as much as I wish / plan. I don't sleep well on weekdays, I pretty much awake every few hours =(

My colleagues resigned and one by one left, so we got to backup and learn to do their works. My team is pretty much okay, under control since previously I was in 2 teams, I have 3 types of tasks to do everyday and now I think I have even more than that. So, people left the company, I have new comers, but.... I need to train people, and I myself been trained by other more experience colleague to do her work. She will have her maternity soon, so my things are all packed together. Between, I also have some other trainings going on.

I'm currently the small leader for my team which mean bigger responsibility. My manager love to see us stay back, which I HATE the most, and is totally no way for me to force or even ask the team member to stay back, since we wouldn't get paid for OT. So, I've more and more worries.

I'll try to keep up on bloggin simply as part of my hobbies. Sometimes, I might have more haul post rather than makeup tutorial because tutorial really takes time. I hope you guys understand the reasons I'm slacking on blogging / twitter.

Review: Vaseline Healthy white skin lightening lotion

Hot weather, cold weather or even bad weather changes making our skin dry, dull and dark. In Asia countries, girls will always dream to have a soft, smooth fair skin, just like the fairy tale SNOW WHITE.

Walking in drugstore is probably the worst thing / entertainment for me, knowing that at the end, I will not step out without buying a single item. I'm in hype for VASELINE products. Anyhow, it doesn't mean that I love all Vaseline lotions. There's a couple version that I will not purchase simply because it isn't hydrating enough for me, the scent is terrible in my opinion and it feels sticky=gross.

To my liking are: Yellow bottle for dry skin and pink bottle to achieve fair healthy looking skin.

Volume: 400ml (biggest), 250ml (medium), 100ml (smallest)

Scent: Floral scent:

Price: RM15.88 (400ml)

Color: white lotion

Texture: lotion, blends to the skin effortlessly

Packaging: for biggest size, it comes with pumps eg: picture above. The other packing sizes are in squeeze bottle.

Review:

A runny creamy lotion I supposed. It smells like flowers, so good and soothing. Refer to the ingredients, titanum dioxide serve well in UV protection, by how far it works on this lotion is unknown. I personally like the texture, is not too thick and not to runny. Over layers of application doesn't make my skin feel sticky at all which is a super nice point. I only use this during the night time or when I stay indoor. I can't tell if it really lightens up my skin tone as I consider myself having " fair" skin most of the time. I don't expose myself under strong sunlight unless there's a need for me to work under the sun. Since the lotion absorb nicely onto the skin, each time application make my skin feel velvet smooth and soft.

Talking about hand & nails, I often noticed myself doesn't really take good care of them. Looking at momma's wrinkled hand and chipped nails, my heart sank. I actually tried it out and thinking this is something cheap yet good for everyday use or presented as a gift to friends or even Mother's Day gift.

I believe this is a new product from Vaseline and it is in market for almost 6 months now. It only come with 1 packing size, 1 scent.

For anyone who like me, hate to put on thick cream, this is a good alternative. I personally like how well it can be layered on the skin, because I normally will put on hand lotion again and again in the office, even though I know I've put a lot of it. It really helps to keep my hands smooth and soft to the touch. I don't think this will decrease any wrinkles on your hand or palms but it serve as a good hand lotion. As for nails, it does help to prevent nails from breakage. Normally, I like to use it after shower/typing my computer / driving / office. Pls note that it doesn't contain any SPF, so, if you need SPF you do need to apply a sunscreen. As for scent, I would say it really differs to person, but so far, all the compliment I received is " smell so good !",

Another month will pass and I'm just getting more and more tired with my job. Since the weather is crazy over here, I, unfortunately caught sick. Looking around in my room, I thought to recap some items that I've purchased in month of May.

Basically I didn't haul much, I just did a minuet shopping during my short vacation to Penang. I miss vacation very much.

I'm a studs lover, I think they are very versatile. I dislike dangling earings.

between, my mail came in 2 weeks ago for Stila items ,

I've yet to try them or anything from Stila. Among their very famous lipgloss, I picked up PEACH. which is a muted, coral/peachy lipgloss with no shimmer at all. I started to liking things without shimmer (especially makeup items).

Months ago, Fuzkittie also mentioned how much she loves Stila illuminating powder foundation.

So I ordered it and funniest thing is that, I forgot to order the case @.@|||

Picking up shade in 10watts. I think that the color does have some yellow undertones upon application. It also comes with SPF 12. Will try this out some time soon.

Just a short recap, nothing too over whelming nor exciting.

p/s: I will not be doing makeup tutorial till my skin gets better. Some products that I'm currently using causing me some weird allergy reaction.

Review: Etude House Essence Mask Hyaluronic Acid

Sheet mask has already become part of must have for most of us in our skincare regime. I'm sort of in between that since I'm quite busy so, I will always stick with sheet mask that I love or I'll just use wash off mask.

Sheet mask is convenient but also a problem for me since I'm so tired with my work, I literally fell asleep whenever my body touches my bed. How crazy is that! So, whenever I'm tired, I will have to make sure I set alarm for 20mins or 15 mins if I choose to use sheet mask. Sheet mask has to be taken off before the whole mask dries up because it will also lead our skin to become even more dehydrated due to evaporation.

Among the favourite sheet masks, I enjoy this EH essence mask very much, especially when the sun is so strong and my office is so dried.

My thoughts:

I like sheet mask that comes with thin cloth, I believe thin cloth will give my skin a better absorption. The cutting is okay, but this sheet mask is rounder and a lil bit too big for my face.

The essence is only 20mL but the mask is perfectly soak without dripping all over my hands. I normally like to keep my mask in fridge so that it will compliment better with the current hot weather.

I left it on my face for about 20mins, and it plumps up my skin making my skin very hydrated. I was wondering if the hyaluronic acid works because my pores looks smaller after that, but you know the result doesn't last till next morning. I can tell that because the skin is well hydrated, I don't experience any oil secretion during the night time, my face just smooth and soft will the next morning.

Overall, this mask is okay. I will extra love it when my skin is so dried due to the bad weather.

New product in drugstore, how can I not to get it!!!! duh~

I've tried this product for almost a month now, I'm loving it as much as I do to my BFF. Like other Vaseline lotion, it comes with 3 sizes. I picked up the medium size because I wasn't sure if I would like this product at 1st. But after trying it, I can, can tell you all, how much I cherish it and how well it works for me.

Texture: White lotion, slightly thicker than their usual lotion, just like most SPF products

Scent: SPF + flora scent? a nice one I think

Volume: 100ml, 200ml, 400ml ( comes with 3 packing size)

Manufacture: Thailand

My thoughts:

Definitely a good drugstore products. I've tried so many body sunscreen lotion, and I seldom fell in love with any of them. Even if I did, it will be the Aveeno Baby Sunblock, SPF55 but it's hard to get in Malaysia. I need to online order it from US, which is inconvenient and it is such a hassle when you reached the final drop of it. I'm glad that I discover this new Vaseline lotion. It comes with a waterproof one (orange packing) but the scent is way to heavy and way to thick, sticky than my liking. I don't mind for its non waterproof characteristic, since it doesn't bother me that much. I stay indoor most of the time, so waterproof or not is not a big deal for me.

It moisturizes my skin nicely and it leave a nice, soft, smooth texture on my skin. I actually got lots of compliment when I use this it the office. My colleague said my skin is as soft as baby skin (lol) which I really don't think so, but they touched my skin and said so. OMG!

I also like how easy to rinse it off when I'm shower. No hassle at all, water slightly rub and it off from my skin. Great! When I off for beach vacation last week & days ago, I applied it and I exposed myself under strong sunlight. I don't experience any sunburn and tanning.

Another important thing is, I don't experience any skin allergy reaction. I realize my skin has been acting weird these days and not all products work for me.

In a nutshell, I recommend this products for everyone and if you were doubt, just try out the tester, OR just go to the drugstore and grab the smaller packing size.

April 2011 Hit & Misses

Hello, I decided to do monthly hits & misses constantly in my blog. I just love to watch / read monthly hits and misses.

Anyway, I'm not going to review every single product thoroughly, I just roughly make a short reviews for each of them. Start with hits and then a list of misses products

1. Dermedex Cleanser & face cream

I love it so much, I actually use the cleanser as my face mask / spot treatment, leave over night. It keeps acne at bay and it comes with nice scent and menthol feeling upon application.

As for face cream, I use it every other night, this also helps my acne from appear on my face.

2. T3 1st acne spot treatment

Is a repurchase items. I applied this on my face every night after toner/face mist. It comes with light yellow, gel texture. It feels tingling but constant application dries out the pimples.

3. Loreal UV Perfect Mat

Comes with SPF 30UVB, UVA PA+++. I think this is their new products, it provides a light mattifying texture on the skin, but I personally think it creates more like a semi dewy finish.

Suitable for oily to combination skin. I'm glad it doesn't make my skin look blotchy, not oily. It is also noncomogenicm sweat proof and dermatologically tested on asian skin. Will give it a further review.

4. NOPS NBI-5 sofr eye cream

this product was sent to me to do review. Anyhow, I like to include it in this post. It comes with 10mL, i think is an organic product. One major reason I like it is because of the packaging, freaking cool yet very hygienic and convenient to travel with. The cream is light yet buttery, Applies around my eye area like a dream, absorb nicely. It does has a soft scent but goes off pretty fast after application.

5. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Toner

Repurchase item. I can't get over to use any other toner which I currently own. I mentioned that I hate glue-ish texture toner, I still refer toner that is in water texture, thinking it helps more in clarifying my skin and promotes a better absorption for next steps of skincare. I love it!

6. Naruko Narcissus Total Defense Moisturizing Day Protector

lovely scent, absorb immediately. Since my skin has become very unstable, oh well, is getting better these days, using a non oily skincare is a MUST for me. Just incase, it triggers further acne breakouts, then I shall cry non stop. It gives immediate effects on the skin. I don't see any SPF ingredients in it, but who cares, since we all apply sunblock every single day! haha!

7. Avene Thermal Water Spray

Amazing! soothing and serve as a nice toner when there's someday that I don't feel like I want to use toner.

8. Vaseline Healthy White, SPF24, PA++ Triple skin lightening lotion

New product from Vaseline, it works so well, it is non waterproof, suitable for office use. The scent is similar like the normal version of its actual healthy white lotion, texture is slightly thicker but blends into skin amazingly! I almost hit pan for this. I did use it for outdoor activities eg: beach vacation, well, I think I'm still fair, even expose to strong sunlight at beach.

Great product! Further review soon.

9. Vaseline Healthy Hand & Nail Conditioning

This serve as hand cream for me. Well, not sure if it helps to strengthen my nails. Smell like a heavy flora scent once squeeze out from the tube, but the scent go off quickly and left a soft flora scent. Texture is light but smoothen my hands very well.

10. Vaseline Healthy White Lotion

Is pink and the lotion smell like flower. haha! I like how well it absorb to my skin and for the price, it makes it even worth to buy it. It said 2 weeks application will help to lighten your skin. Hmm, not so sure about that. I apply this as my night time lotion after shower, not oily / sticky even if I sleep with just fan on, no air conditioning room.

11. Nivea Essential Care lipbalm ( blue tube)

creamy, smell good, cheap and protects my lips from cracking / peeling

12. Shiseido Tsubaki Shampoo (white)

smell so good and gentle to my hair

Weekends finally arrived again. I've already started and getting into the dieting process pretty well. Not to say I totally cut off oily or carbohydrate, but I think I managed to control my diet and plan it accordingly.

Before getting into this post, I've some thoughts to share with you all. I'm a person who like to try out new skincare, but since ever I got that bad acne experience, my skin condition pretty much change to very sensitive. So, whenever I try a new skincare, if it doesn't work, I will just leave it at a side without trying it further at all. Well, for items that I enjoy, I will repurchase it.

One thing, I also getting very annoying with toner with glue-ish texture, eg: Hada Labo toner. I just don't like it and not enjoy the texture. I rather use a thermal water as my toner. I've planned to try out Clinique toner in future when I hit more pans =]

I drove to the nearest mall mainly for groceries, then visit to Guardian drugstore and picked some stuffs. Mostly are stuffs that I like and I decided to repurchase it & at the same time try out some new products which I have good impression with after try out its tester.

I'm off for short beach vacation soon, so I picked up the Loreal Sunblock. Its a matte finish, cool! I think it creates a nice finish on my skin. Mostly like a semi matte finish! and it doesn't smell bad at all. haha! the packaging is sleek and comes with 30mL, sweat proof, non comedogenic! Definitely will do a review for it.

Next, if you have read my previous post, you'll probably know how much I like the Neutrogena hydro boost toner! Repurchase it! as well as the Nivea lipbalm ♥

Visit to beach = getting tan, which I always avoid even though I sometimes have the urge to do self tanning. haha! Vaseline lotion is probably the best drugstore lotion, is cheap and absorb nicely to the skin, no sticky hint left behind ♥

Another repurchase, combat acne ♥

I choose the 1st outbreak type because suppress the acne from further inflammation is crucial

Food for diet, oatmeal is must have. Between, consume extra virgin olive oil helps too.

Remember, when purchase extra virgin olive oil, pick the darker shade bottle, this will help to

reduce the antioxidant of the oil from further damage due to the sun UV. A good olive oil should taste a lil bit spicy when 1st consume. * learn from recent Queens show *

OOTD to the market!

For this week, I didn't go back to my hometown. I felt quite bored actually, so before I head back home, I stopped by at MPH bookstore. Gosh, I think many books were on sale. I ended up with 2 Charles Dickinson books. Honestly, I've never read these books before during my childhood. Value buy RM14.90 only. OMG!!! I'm fans of the shopaholic series, I like how the story goes on and girls, I think we all are shopaholic as well... haha~

Jill Stuart Jelly Eye : Day Wear EOTD

Jill Stuart Jelly eye color is the prettiest cream shadow I've seen so far. The texture is fluffy and it comes with nice scent too. The application is amazing, dabbing motion will do a nice job for any EOTD. I personally like how it feels but I sometimes think that the pretty glitters are way too annoying at certain time.

I would recommend this for people who love shimmer/ glitters eye shadow. This cream shadow work best during the night time / summer time. It is quite long lasting, no smudge or whatsoever.

I dabbed antique chiffon on my eyelid ( only focus under the fold and slightly blend upward).

Then, dabbed tiny layer of vintage deco at the outer half towards outer corner

Draw tight line (missha brown pencil liner), blend some deep cool tone taupe color near the lash line. Coat with Majolica Lash Enamel " 3rd generation" mascara.

As for my lips, I used softkiss lipbalm SPF25, top up with Revlon Coral Reef lipgloss SPF 15.

It actually looks like a pastel coral color.

Hit pan on another Face shop products. I'm getting really into TFS items lately. The products make me crazy! Well, in a good way I suppose.

This is actually a re-discovered skincare. I need to finish up all my current skincare before I'm able to use my new skincare that purchased from Korea. This was purchased from Korea as well, so I can't tell u the ingredients.

Uniquely formulated with micro-encapsulated beads of Alpine Glacial Water, this invigorating moisturizing line delivers energy and minerals for revitalization, keeping skin glowing and hydrated all day long.

My review: I use this morning & night, 3-4 pumps each usage. It pretty much gives some hydration to my skin but it isn't special at all. I consider it not as hydration as the Ecovert series because whenever I on my car air cond, my skin still feel tight, even after I've put on soooo many products on. Since I've putting hydration as No.1 priority in my skincare routine, this is just an average product. Not much wow! But still some thing that worth to try and experience. In terms of absorption, it absorbed pretty quick without leaving any sheen behind, thumbs up for that.

A not well hydrated skin will have premature wrinkle, patchy skin, oily skin, sagging skin, huge pores etc.... etc....

So, let's motivate yourself to love your skin! Before that, always, always remember, cleansing come 1st before skincare...

I'm so sorry for not keep my blog updated, work has been terribly busy and drive me nuts. The company that I worked with has incentive trip to Korea, and since I'm not able to join that trip, I've to backup my other colleagues who went there.

Journey with my MIA - 1 month

1 month test drive the Clarisonic Mia and I shall say : Amazing!

No lies, I started to use my Lavender Clarisonic Mia by the end of Feb 2011. The 1st day I used it, my skin feel super clean and pores seem to be breath-able. Crazy!

The brush vibrates all the way when you cleanse your face. I do have to say that using MIA, I actually helps me use up my cleanser pretty FAST!I like the way it cleanse my skin without being too abrasive to my skin.

The brush that I'm currently use is Sensitive brush head. I'm think to repurchase the sensitive brush head or try the delicate brush head. Anyone tried delicate brush head before? how does it feels like?

Summary for 1 month usage: Day & Night

1st week : Visible reduct pore size and unclogged some pores

2nd week : Started to notice that skincare products absorb better and less clogged pores

3rd week : Skin started to glow and skin tone seems to be more even. Huge different on pores size as compared to before. Yet, not significantly clear blackheads on nose area.

4th week : previous acne scar seems to be lighten, better absorption on skincare products.

Cleanser:

I used Naruko Total Narcicuss AAA Facial foam and it foams up nicely without hurting my skin / burden my skin conditions.

after the cleanser hit pan, I started to use Nature Tea Tree cleanser, it works great and really clean my pores. However, it seems to be too strong for my skin as after washing, my face feel tugging.

Caring method:

I charged my tools every 8 days depends my usage. After use, I wash the brush with water, detached it form its bristle and let it wind dry. I'll stick with - change the brush every 6 months.

Conclusion:

By far, I'm happy with the results. I think Mia does a great job on helping my skin. I've not use any peeling gel since then.

April... I did it again, I pretty much haul every month regardless I'm rich or poor. I have to confess that I'm addicted with shopping!

I picked up 2 Rilakkuma items : Mug and Fleece blanket(pink). I think Watson is clearing the old stock, hence each retail for MYR 2.97 only.

Since the weather change drastically, I picked up the new Vaseline Triple healthy white lotion, it comes with SPF but the lotion is light in texture as compared with their new release sunblock.

Before Stella went to Hong Kong, I actually asked her to CP some things for me. I'm trying so hard to control myself from over spending,

I've only got JS jelly eye color : vintage deco & antique chiffon. These colors are amazing, they are fluffy, creamy and sparkling. I do noticed it has some perfume scent too.

Other than that, I also got myself the Esperique precious D-2 palette, which is famous because of its unique green color. I'm happy with my purchase! Thank you Stella for everything.

I also got some CP=ed The Face Shop items from Korea. TFS is freaking cheap in Korea. The price for each items sold in Malaysia is at least 30% higher some even higher than 60%.

SO, if you went to Korea, buy their skincare, it is a place call SKINCARE HEAVEN! ah~

Review: Neutrogena Hydo Boost Toner

Hi dear, another review on drugstore products. I'm getting really, really happy with the Neutrogena Hydro Boost toner. I'm running out of my toner and to be honest, I don't really like drugstore skincare, only few of them I will purchase.

I've mentioned that hydration has become the fundamental and priority in my skincare routine. I've actually planned to try Clinique toner but just hold on that wishlist 1st.

Reviews: I'm very impress with how it works so far to my skin. It is really hydrating, non oily nor sting my skin. Out of all my skincare, toner ran out the fastest. I tried this out on the 1st day after I cleansed my skin with cleansing oil and clarisonic Mia. My skin feel tight because of overly wash, I pad this toner on and gosh!!!! my skin back to normal state. It is really hydrating but of course, paired up with serum/essence and moisturizer is a must too.

I personally don't feel it contains much alcohol. It just absorbed into my skin quite fast. Normally I start with circular wiping motion, and the use the other side of cotton pad, pad the toner. Since this toner works well, the oily on my skin is under control and being suppress most of the time.

The shelf life of this product is 2 years started from its manufacturing date. So, please be aware of this because I do realize that Watson sometimes sell things at cheaper price when items near its expiry date.

Recommend: Yes, is very economical too!

The Face Shop: Eco Very Moisture Extreme Serum

Since ever my bad skin condition, I get really particulate with my every single skincare. I've purchased this item when I was in Korea last year and gosh, now I know hydration is super important for our skin. I literally re-apply my moisturizer every 4-5 hours when I was outdoor.

Oh well, I've hit pan for this products, so here's my review:

Volume: 40mL

Price: around MYR 30-40 ( after convert the Korean won)

Texture: Serum fluid but absorb into the skin instantly

Function:F hydration & reduce acne marks

Review: This whole thing last me about 2.5 months. I use this day and night, 4 pumps each time and spread it all over my face after toner. During application, the serum will slowly turn into fluid like texture, it is very light on the skin, thus further moisturizer is required.

I personally think it slightly shrink my pores, and reduce sebum on my face. The rose scent is soft yet natural. In terms on acne marks, it works but since I've slapped so many things on my face, I really can't pin point if this is the one that reduce my acne marks or others.

Overall, this item isn't something " va va voom" but it works as what it should and as mentioned in its description box. I can't include the details because everything was written in Hangul and I shared the information from what I've remembered from the Mandarin description in the duty free shop in Korea.

Repurchase: Yes! Someone is going to CP some things for me from Korea soon ^_^

I've never tried Tarte item simply because this brand never caught my eyes or attention. Well, I just never thought to try it. I got this set from my Secret Santa last year, so I don't know what this set called. I'm just so excited with it. Funniest thing is that after I took out everything and swatches it, I just can't never zip the pouch to its end, I can't remember how the things were arranged before I took out everything. Bleh~

Everything is compact, small, cute and pretty good in quality! Thank you Karen!

Liner: Brown liquid liner, I like how thin and sharp the tip is. It helps in making precise lining very well.The liquid liner is very petite and works more like a marker pen. Waterproof!

Twin lipgloss: Fred ( nude milky tea red), ginger ( shimmery, frost milk tea). I prefer fred as it is less sticky and apply more easily and neutral look

Eye shadow: Deep brown & gold. Great pigmentation, the shadows are quite smooth too. Deep brown is more powdery but no fall out on me at all. Gold is more like a wet, creamy texture.

Since ever Stila Travel Palette being released I've been eyeing on palettes that are unique in shades but look natural. I immediately placed my order when I saw this palette. I love palette more than anything because it can be used in multiple ways to create multiple looks.

Sadly, this is LE and I can't find it anymore though I thought to purchase a backup. This is the 4th palette been released. I've never tried any Stila item, thus I can't compare the quality with the other Stila items.

Price: USD 10 (freaking cheap and worth it)

Packaging: Firm and sturdy.

Recommend: People who loves natural palette / beginner

chill- shimmery deep teal blue (smooth and quite pigmented)

mink- shimerry deep brown ( smooth)

matroshka- neutral peachy color (the shimmers are quite settle)

nadia - deep bronze orange (the shimmers are quite settle)

lily - settle warm peachy pink cream blush/lip color ( nice sheen and natural look)

Personally, I think the colors in this palette show on very well on my skin tone. My shade is around NC 20. I love this color combo. These colors are really unique especially the blue color. Since I've yellow undertone, I'm basically scare to use blue color because most of the time they doesn't look so good or go so well with my skin tone. But Chill is a really pretty dark teal blue.

Besides, Lily seems to work really well with my skin tone. It creates a healthy glow on my cheeks as blush. It is creamy thus blend in easily. All of the eye shadows come with shimmer, but these shimmers are soft and smooth and aren't chunky at all. I'm glad with this and looking forward to try more Stila items.

Another item that I purchased for myself as a birthday present is this UD Glide on Pencils. I was so, so amazed by the quality when I 1st tried the pencils from my Naked Palette. More over, after watching temptalia swatches on this, I was even sure that I need to get this no matter what! haha~

This set comes with 15 pencils, some are limited shade but overall, these pencils are so creamy and long lasting. When I 1st swatches it, it kinds of melt to my skin. It glides on like a dream without streaking my skin. I love the way it feels. They are very water proof too!

I can't tell it is 100% smudge proof for everyone, but for me it is smudge proof.

Price: USD 92 comes with a sharpener as well

My Purchase on Majorlica Majolica: Spring 2011

Majolica Spring 2011 is too darn cute and it is really, really attractive. I personally don't pick up that much of items because some of the items are literally OOS or not available at all. I believe Watson in Malaysia ONLY certain Watson outlet carry some of the spring collection.

The store that I visited carried only 3 cheek puff ( no shade 82 at all) but I only picked up these 2 which I think looks most flattering and natural on my skin. Since Fuz mentioned that the brown color mascara works great and able to be noticed on black lashes, I picked up one to try out. Honestly, everything is limited regardless LE or not LE.

I've been searching here and there for the cream liner but still in vain. I tested it at the store but no more stock left. The cream liner is smooth and creamy. It is quite waterproof too, I don't think it smudges at all.

I did compare PK303 and PK 333, the color is quite similar but PK333 is a true bright pink (blue tone/cold tone).

OR302, Apricot macaron is more towards orange shade. But compared it to the customize cheek OR, it is less bright. The older customize cheek OR is prettier in my opinion. But who can resist such cute packaging?!

PK301 is Peach macaron but from the swatches I personally thing is a pink, flattering pink blush.

- The texture is nice and leaves a nice sheen on skin.

- Pigmentation is very, very good too

For the mascara, it is a LE item. Brown color mascara same as Lash expander frame plus. I got it simply because I don't own much brown color mascara and I'm in love with LASH expander frame plus version mascara.

Overall, this collection is really eye catching. I'm happy with my purchase.

Review: Johnson's pH5.5 Nourishing Body Wash with Almond Oil

I've been so motivated to blog more simply because I'm bored and it has really been awhile that I didn't blog much. Thank God that today is public holiday! yahooo~

I've getting more and more drugstore products lately because I believe some drugstore products are worth for the money and they are so cheap. Previously I was using the Santa Barbara body wash and it works just fine, nothing so special. I purchased this Johnson's body wash not long ago when I restores some of my groceries. I think it comes with 3 scents, original version, almond oil and honey. Among the 3 scent, almond oil smell the best with hint of sweet behind.

Since I already have the shower gel bottle, I just purchased the refill pack, I don't think there's any wrong by doing this. Some people prefer get the actual bottle, but I don't care as long as the current bottle that I'm using is still sturdy.

Volume: Refill pack 600ml

Price: RM 8.90 (might differ in places)

Scent: Sweet hint & a lil bit of baby powder

Texture: Creamy gel in white color

My Thought: For the price, is absolutely worth it. Personally I think my skin is pretty sensitive, I can't use Dettol body wash, Shokobutsu or any harsh body wash, they peel my skin. But if I used baby products or Johnson's products everything just goes fine.

I like how this body wash feels on my skin, is smooth, creamy very nice. It foams up easily too. Just grab your lily puff and pump out 1-2 pumps and lather all over your body. I think and I always believe shower and bath time is the best time out of all day. Haha! It rinse of easily too without leaving any soapy feel on your skin.

I've been using it for about a month now and I think it does brighten up my skin leaving it glows and shine. Oh well, might be me but I do notice some difference on my skin these days.

After shower, I normally will apply Johnson baby milk lotion (best scent ever) and the milk powder (best scent ever) and I'm ready to work or go to bed!

L& S stand for Lady & Skin. It is a brand that available in Korea. I got this item when I visited to Korea few months back. Basically this brand is supported by Samsung and it claims to serve as the first anti-aging solution for the consumers.

The product name is sooooo long, oh my - L&S Cell Recovery System Hydro-Gel Eye and Spot

Combination of EGF and Stem Cell:

Containing EGF( Epidermal Growth Factor) and stem cell. This product makes skin tone clearer and smoother and it is effective for lifting the elasticity of skin.

Mineral water if this product in particular has excellence in moisturizing, exfoliating and absorption. It also comprised of seaweed, green tea, aloe, rose extract and collagen which makes skin glossy and all of which are contributed to making skin vital and beautiful.

New Technology in epidermal growth factor and vegetable stem cell:

Natural essence is extracted and condensed by high molecular technology, making it possible for the product to be naturally degraded.

My thoughts: Honestly this eye patch are good for relaxing your eyes but not for reduct fine line. I do have some fine lines under my eyes, which is the main reason caught my attention to try this. Some how, after tested it for more than a month, I literally only feel soothing the eye area rather than smoothen the fine lines that I already have.

Other than that, I will still highly recommend people to keep this item in fridge because logically temperature sensitive item should be kept at cooling place to reduce the denaturation process of the stem cell.

Normally I use this twice or once a day after apply all my skincare except for the eye area. Then, I will leave it on for about 2omins, when it seems to shrink its size. It only leave your eye area fresh and cold but not plumping up the skin.

Overall, I don't recommend this product, I think go to the drugstore and get a roller ball eye pen is more worth it. I admit I purchased this in a rush without thinking twice, especially I got 6 packs in 1 shot. haha! So, be rasional when it comes to beauty shopping.

Recommend: Not really, up to you, if you think is worth to try it, just go get it.

Hello, I'm been working hard to hit pan before I can buy more skincare. I can't tell how much and how terrible it is that I haul more and more on skincare though I got way, way too much to be used at home. haha!

Since ever I got acne skin, I basically just read reviews from people's blog and try to pick up some for myself and try it out. I've been using this cleanser for about 1-2months and it works really well.

Packaging: Simple, handy except for the pump

Personally I think this cleanser does what it say. It is really gentle to my skin though it contains 2% salicylic acid. I use this cleanser day and night and it leaves my skin soft and supple without feeling extra tight or pulling my skin off.

Normally I use 2 pumps and add with some water, it foams up pretty fast and removes the excess sebum from my skin. During the night time, I will use this foam with a mechanical face brush to wash my face, and it feels super, squeaky clean.

The only downside of it :

Over short tip
Easy to leak whenever I travel though I already locked the pump
Not available in Malaysia

Overall, this is an affordable product and work great for my skin. Anyhow, I need to emphasize that if your skin is allergic or sensitive to salicylic acid, please consult your dermatologist before using it.

Monday with special event? It is Valentine's day, I believe most of us out there already plan for their date with specials one... Have fun.

I actually bought this by the end of January and has already using it since after that. According to TBS website, this item is categorized under limited edition products. I grabbed one and really, really loving it now.

A crunchy, zesty fruity green fragrance to wake the senses, with contrasting velvety rich mid tones and a lingering warm musk finish.

Contain: 30mL

Price: RM 49.90

Long lasting : about 6-8 hours

Smell: Refreshing with a hint of musk later on

Packaging: Simple yet lovely

My Review:

Basically I spritz some on my clothes, about 1-3 pumps and head to work in the morning. It smells really zesty, refreshing at 1st and when it reaches afternoon, it started to have a hint of warm musk scent, which makes u smell really, really good. haha! I'm bad in describing scent.

I personally quite happy with it because the scent last pretty long on me about 8 hours.

I honestly don't recommend people to put on perfume directly onto their skin simply because it might causes allergic due to chemical reaction might lead to cancer. A lot of people tends to spray perfume directly to their skin thinking that it will make them smell better?! Please avoid this.

This item come with a very petite packaging. Simple & lovely. The bottle is made with glass, so handle with care is really important. The cap is very tiny, as if it just covered with aluminium cap.

Overall, this scent is really fresh. If you like fresh scent with a hint of musk, this perfume is going to be your love. I personally think it is suitable for everyday use. I'm looking forward to try the Moroccan rose Eau De Toilette next.

Happy Mail in & Haul

Hip Hip Hooray!!!! I can't express how excited and how happy I am. My mail came in yesterday, and yesterday was a really, really hectic day, I was sick and my workload is as high as mountain.

Before Chinese New Year, I got myself 2 items from The Body Shop. I've been wanted to try out their shower gel so much. I love apple, so I got things that have APPLE word... I know I'm sound sooo crazy. I actually already used the perfume and shall review it soon.

My bf got some T-Shirts from Giordano for me , I think pink and yellow look better on me, especially yellow, haha, look sooo bubbly! I like it!

Shoes finally died, I need to got more shoes but as I mentioned before, I'm not a fan on shoes, which is why I seldom buy. Skincare always make me high and orgasm... lol..

I can't find any bra for my size, argh~ is either too small or too ugly. Meh~~~

Anyway, I got 3 yellow undies, I like these very much. Because of the lace part, it actually make it look seamless when you put on tight skirt or pants. Love it!, well 3 for RM30, grab!!!

New Hair: Relaxing Therapy

Is new year, well my birthday just passed by few days ago. Haha, I'm getting older!!! duh~

Anyway, I have my hair cut & straightening a week before Chinese New Year. I was actually wanted to cut and trim it, but my hair was overly trimmed and the end was slightly split/mess.

The hair stylist actually recommend me to curl my hair but I decided not too because I don't want to spend most of my time every single morning on my hair. Curly hair is difficult to take care (my opinion). So, I said trimmed it and make it straight. But I wasn't doing rebonding because it hurts my hair and required a proper care and treatment. I ended up with relaxing therapy which I got my hair straight but it isn't flat and overly limp. It just clean and tidy! good!

Overall, I was satisfied but this whole thing cost me RM 288: cut, treatment & relaxing therapy.

I got it done at APT outlet, if you were located in Malaysia. I also got the specific shampoo, conditioner and hair tonic which can last for 2-3months. Products review up next.

Note: If you want a natural look, try relaxing, I can't guarantee that it will last long like what rebonding does since it based on how u care your hair.

Imju Fiberwig Set

Happy Chinese New Year again! aha, I've pretty much celebrated in car because I traveled a lot in the pass few days. Anyway, I'm back with some products reviews in these couple days and hopefully a EOTD soon.

I got this Fiberwig set awhile ago and I recently fell in love with it again. I'm not sure whether sasa still offer this set but it was retailed for RM59.90.

This set come with the Fiberwig mascara in black color and automatic eyeliner.

I'll start with the automatic pencil liner. Honestly, this is the most terrible eyeliner I've ever tried.

too hard to get the eyeliner stick onto my eyelid/waterline
it hurts my skin
even if it was on, it can be rub off easily
the ONLY good thing is the twisted mechanism of the pencil liner

NO BUY!!!

Next, the mascara. I believe this is the original version. I've seen a couple version of this mascara, some is meant for lower lashes whereas some come with a curled brush.

lengthen my eye lashes
several coats can build more volume to the lashes
no clump
waterproof yet easy to remove
able to create a clean, fresh look by just few swipe
long lasting

It is so, so easy to remove! As usual, I will always remove my eye makeup with makeup remover. Thus, I can't tell whether warm water will work or vise versa

Conclusion: I will recommend people who love Japanese brand mascara try this out. The only down side of the mascara is, it can't hold the curl as what you've curled your lashes. Probably only hold 3/4 of the curl.

I know I'm slacking on blogging again. Work has been really busy and tiring but my brain is always pretty much in a hyperactive state, which makes me feel super awkward and terrible, as if I'm a walking zombie.

Anyway, back to the topic. Remember how desperate I am back to few months ago due to acne breakout. I'm very pleased to say that my skin are getting way better than before after using the Dermdex skincare and Naruko skincare set. I will do review on these skincare in upcoming post since tomorrow is public holiday.

So, I have heard so many great reviews about Clarisonic. I know it is a big investment but I believe that we pay for the quality of it. I've placed my order for Clarisonic Mia on the ULTA 20% sale. I think Clarisonic Mia will do the same thing as other Clarisonic set.

Reasons why I think it is worth?

- get better skin condition

- unclog pores

- helps skincare products to absorb better

- healthier skin for a better look

- keep acne at bay

The Downside:

- expensive

- high maintainance

I'm back from my hometown and cured my laptop. Haha, thanks to my bro who is a genius on computer! I wish this new year is going to a fruitful one for everyone with lots of happiness and great stuffs going on.

I'm looking forwards for 2011 especially on my income which is the main source to support my life, family & this blog. So, here's my new year resolutions:

Earn more money & save more money
Buy a house
Exercise regularly & weight below 55kg?
Blog more & send more love packages
Keep in touch with friends ( I know I'm a sucker on this)

Replenish & Restocking

I visited to Watson few weeks ago to restock my Acne Patch and thinking to try out the Herbal Essences shampoo. My hair doesn't seem to work so good with Sunsilk shampoo, it makes my scalp so itchy.

Basically shampoo that caught my attention are ranges from scent, functions. The Herbal essences shampoo smell so good, well, I haven't use it yet. Waiting to use it in 2011. Watson service is getting better these days, I think.

Anyway, this is just going to be a short post, showing some items I purchased and waiting to be used in 2011. Left 1 day. haha!

Actually I'm really happy with this Loreal booklet, it actually comes with 1 set telling u which to use 1st and the functions of each products. Not bad! Since I travel every week, this is so going to be my companion.

Pretty much in Rilakkuma Hype

Like all girls, I love cute stuff, my so far favourite icon is Doraemon but recently, I'm sort of influenced by a brown bear aka Rilakkuma. Omg, it is so adorable and cute. I love it so much, the more I look at it, the cuter it be in my heart. haha!

Watson store carried some Rilakkuma I got some of it which I would really love to own them and categorize it as a collection. Not sure if it would grow in near future.
I only got a mug, slippers, umbrella and makeup pouch. I might get the soft toys which a Rilakkuma hugging a red heart, so freaking CUTE! but bf said the bear mouth look so distorted :(

Yesterday was Boxing Day. This year, I actually didn't get much presents because I don't really celebrate Xmas this year ( for some reasons). But I do sent out presents to family members and friends.

Last week before Christmas my mom told me that I got a parcel came in. I knew it was my secret Santa's parcel but I'm no idea who and what I'll be getting. I was pretty busy throughout this weekends visit my bf and helping his family on the Xmas party. Well, I worked like hell. I totally dislike it, because everything is totally out of my expectation, I was actually pretty unhappy yet I didn't able to complain much about it.

I was basically very tired because most of my time spend on traveling from my current place back to my hometown and sent gifts to my parents & siblings then rushed to my bf house helping around. From evening till late midnight, I wasn't sleep so well because it was way too cold for me.

Anyway, I'm very happy that I got back home, having my mom's cook. But I was still really tired because I wasn't have ample sleep and rushing all day long. I took my Santa's present and came back to my current place.

Bath and Body works, my favourite! I love the scent. Tarte eyeshadow and eyeliner actually really good and I was like wow!!! I love all of these sooooo, sooo much!

Tiny Mail Came In

I did some haul back to end of November. Basically just to try out some drugstore products which been raved by bloggers and youtubers. Since ever I have acne breakout, whatever that can cure acne caught my attention and I'm so wanted to own it and try it out.

I read some reviews regarding these:-

Clean & clear morning burst facial foam, I can't do a proper review right now since I'm only trying it for few times. I love the scent! At this moment, I can only tell that it works as a cleanser and scrub.
St Ives green tea cleanser. This stuff foams up so well and basically cleans my face without stripping off my skin. First impression, not bad!
Clean & clear deep astringent, contains 2% salicylic acid. This stuff has way tooo much perfume, way tooo harsh for my skin. It burns my skin like hell and my face end up like a monkey ass "RED". Terrible, the worst skincare I've ever purchase this far.

Next during the Sephora F&F sale going on, I placed some order for : -

Stila Travel Palette in Moscow, this palette is so pretty and very handy, great for traveling. And for the price, it is a really great deal!
UD Naked Palette. I'm probably a person that so, so follow the hype. I can't control myself not to pick up NAKED palette. Every time I saw it OOS, I kept telling myself, oh no.... UD naked palette is also a really great deal too. For the number of shadows and quality, $44 is worth. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Since I visited to Korea, I decided to try out Clinique Moisturizer for skin type 3,4 but it ended up sent me the wrong one which is for dry skin. To my surprise, this stuff actually absorb into my skin so well without leaving any sticky hints behind. I'm amazed!

Since I got palettes without brushes and I'm sort of obsessed with brushes recently I got some Ecotools brush. I've the 6 piece brush set, so sort of top up more Ecotools babes to my collection. The brushes are really soft, and for the size, it actually really friendly for people who travel a lot and for new brushes user. Start off with cheap price items before really invest to high end brand brushes.

My current skincare must have are the cleanser & cream from Dermdex. Basically, I've been using this for 2-3 months and it really works and help in control my acne and suppress acne breakouts. However, the price is slightly expensive for the size it came it. But I really can't leave without this set at this moment.
My skin has recover pretty fast after using this, so my mom bought me the actual size. I'll do a skincare update for this set.

My not too much Korea Haul

Hello, I'm back with a haul post. haha! I'm really enjoyed myself shopping around in Korea though I didn't get as much items as I wished and listed. No jewelry shopping -- > sad ;'(
Anyway, I'm pleased with the items that I purchased. Can't stop telling people, KOREA is a cosmetics heaven ( if you were in love with Korea cosmetics line )

I'm just going to run through everything really quickly. Basically I got these from Duty free shop, which I believe only carry high end brand and mostly are expensive! The SA is raving about LADY&SKIN products and actually everyone of us got chance to test the products on spot. Great, probably the weather is too dry and cold, thus making the products works wonder? I ended up buying this much! and spend almost USD300, finished all my WON and they only accept US Dollar. My thought is that, if you visited to this Duty Free shop, buy if you think is worth and works for your skin, caz no matter how, I still can't stop thinking and feel that it is totally a blood sucking shop! I'm not regret but things are really expensive.

Lady&Skin eye gel mask, which actually comes is eye mask shape, adheres to under eye perfectly. I got 6boxes. CRAZY!

Godness, I screamed of excitement! Due to time constraint, I only got very limited items. Sad! haha~

Hello everyone, I'm back but I'll soon be MIA again. I tell you why later on. Okay, so this whole week has been really busy for me. Glad to tell that I'm finally graduated and had attended my convocation.

Like many Asian parents, to see their children go into uni & finished their Degree (at least) is their biggest hope, well, same things go to my parents. I've to say I'm so thankful and grateful for all the things I have, all the nurture by my parents. From baby age till now, I have all the things I wanted. I'm not a spoiled child, like waste all my parents money or whatsoever, I'm just so glad to have my parents stand beside me all the time, supporting me, paying all my education fees. I learn piano, Taekwondo, art etc all by myself and my parents pay for everything. Actually, I really enjoying all these extra education, they just very interesting but undeniable is tiring. haha!

Today is my convocation, honestly, I have so many thoughts and feeling about it, sad & happy.
Hereby, I also wanted to thank my course mates for all the supports & friendships we have. I'll miss you all. I wouldn't talk much about this since my main intention is to keep you guys updated.

For someone very special aka the bf, thank u so much for letting me your precious time, accompanied me though, I know the weather is terrible hot and basically * we sweat like hell *
Thanks for the bear bear & flowers and be my camera man, my luggage boy... I'm really touched, I love u ~

Okay, that's all. Another week I'm heading to Korea for 1 week. I'm basically shop some basic clothing for the winter time. I don't know much about winter clothing, I just hope the basic clothing I got able to keep me warm.

As usual, if you have any recommendation whether is skincare, travel necessity for winter time, clothings, shoes please let me know since this is my very 1st time visit to Korea during its winter season. I'm already eyeing on a couple of skincare products that I want to purchase when I reached Korea, let me know if there's any other products that you think I should try.

Having frizzy hair, dry, dull looking hair? I've to say I'm really picky with my hair products especially shampoo & conditioner. I don't use much hair styling product because I think it is messy & I'm training my hair not to wash everyday. Well, I do wash it every other day. I'm currently using shower cap in the shower, instead just clip up my hair. I think shower cap is sooo cool! aha, I still wonder why I didn't use shower cap previously till now.

What I've been eating ?

Hello, is me again. Since my department moved to our company warehouse, I started to cook for myself again. I just love cooking and making bento for myself. It's so enjoyable. I know what I eat, how the food got cooked and able to watch out my calories.

I think I'm probably a person who can eat same food for almost a month without getting bored with it. How weird huh?

Anyway, the reasons I started to cook & making bento for my breakfast & lunch is because of my skin, my weight and also, is so expensive to eat outside the factory area where the traffic is jammed & under the hot sun. People who can drive out & bear with all the traffic jam & heat, I gonna bow at u.

Basically these are the foods that I eat for almost a month. They are delicious! I'm just going to share some of my thoughts about them =)

Plum contains high vitamin C and good for antioxidant. They taste sweet + sour, but it's definitely something good to add in to our diet. I believe this work in beautifying my skin too.

Salmon, which famous for its omega & fatty acid. It tastes good no matter raw or cooked. But I still prefer to eat it cooked. I liked it to be grilled with herbs & in sandwich form. Normally I only eat salmon once a week because it is very pricey over here. Other than that, I will take either tuna or dory fish.

For snack/dinner/breakfast, I usually prefer to have something light but still able to fight my hunger. Lets say if I'm having constipation, yogurt save my day in toilet ! ahaha~ they are really good and yummy. Sometimes, I will just buy the small jar if I'm able to find my favourite flavor, or if I got a bunch of fruits, especially papaya in my fridge I will just bought a huge pail of plain yogurt. I do use it as face mask during the hot day. They really help in controlling my body weight & lighten my skin tone.

Other than that, my all time favourite / everyday must have is tomatoes. Tomatoes are best to eat after cooked. Just heat it with some olive oil or whatever cooking oil u have and they are ready to eat. The nutrients in tomatoes get to release and absorbed by body even better after they were cooked. They are tons of tomatoes in the market, cherry tomatoes are tiny one, if they cooked together with creamy pasta, it makes the whole dish tastes soooo good! Normally, I will just buy the bigger one and add in in some of my meal. Most of the time I add tomatoes in my porridge/soup or I stir fried it with eggs. One point I need to emphasize is, tomatoes have great healing power for our skin. I think it lightens my scar & wound, making my skin looks nicer and glow from in towards out.

Next is kiwi. I can't tell how much I hate it and how much I adore it. I hate it when the unlucky me picked the sour kiwi which eventually makes my eyes getting tiny and tinier xD. But I purchase the NZ Zespri kiwi, it tastes sweet & lil bit of sour. I eat it in the morning, sort of vitamin C boost for my body as a kick start for the day. There's golden kiwi, whereby its flesh is golden yellow in colour, I've yet to eat it, but my colleagues said it is so juicy and sweet. Actually kiwi was introduced by a beautician to me, saying that this will helps my skin. You know, I have really bad skin right now >.<, but I do noticed it's getting better now ;]

Talking about soy. I love everything from soy. I drink soy milk most of the day if I didn't have milk as my breakfast. I will definitely cooked mapo tofu / tofu soup once a week. I can't tell u how much I love soy. My grandpa ( my mom's dad) used to make bean curd, soy milk for us before he retired. Everytime I eat a yummy bean curd or " to fu fa" it remains me of my childhood. If u were pregnant, please do take soy milk, it will make your baby looks fair and cute & chubby! Caz my lil bro is a good example, he looks like a white watermelon, hmm, the best word to describe how fat he is during his baby time.

Grains. I don't really like to eat white rice except when it is cooked for chicken rice or fish/pork porridge or " pei dan sau yok jok" other than that, I will really rather eat pasta or bread for my meal. I can't tell how much I love pasta but also I love grains. I think I'm too used with wholegrain bread till I get so icky whenever I eat plain white bread. But wholegrain bread contains less calories & contains better nutrients for our body. As for rice, I would either buy brown rice/ unpolished rice or red rice which actually turns my rice into red color, how cool! and everyone get so anxious with my everyday food! haha xD even my manager will come over and have a peek at my food! well, I'm not a good cook, but I definitely know how to eat healthily

Lastly, eggs. I only take chicken egg, I dislike duck's egg, I think it has some kind of weird smell. Or if I'm having steamboat, I would love to have an egg and quails egg, oh they are the best! Anyhow, there's some tips about eggs. I don't fried egg except when I'm home with my mother. I only likes to have fried egg with baked beans, they are best compliment. I only eat 3/4 hard boiled egg, water cooked egg or tomatoes+soy milk + egg + minced meat + ginger or cawanmushi. The egg yolk is probably the scariest thing for people with cholesterol. But things will be different if you consumed a non fried egg. The cholesterol is the good cholesterol if it was cooked with a proper way NOT FRIED! If I didn't have fish or meat or anything, egg will be my source for protein. I love LTK egg which is the omega egg.

That's all what I want to share. Exercise is important too. You don't have to go to gym or have a hard workout, simple walking, doing house chores is another way for you to exercise too. Plan for your food & you will be very happy. I can't tell how much if love the above food and how enjoyable it is for me right now. I love cooking!

Mina Magazine: Natural Falsies Tutorial

Transform your eyes from this to THIS

I think falsies have pretty much influence recent eye makeup, if you were so used to falsies, you will definitely feel "naked" without putting them on. (just my point of view)

I spotted this falsies tutorial in Oct Mina Magazine and thought it is really cool for people who are interested to try out falsies.

1. Started with a darker/darkest color in your eye palette. Draw a line as shown in picture.

2. Gently draw a thin line / tight line. Remember to curl your lashes 1st.

3. Gently pull up your upper eye lid & draw a thin line close to your lash line. Best to start from outer corner toward middle.

5. Check the length of the eye lashes, see whether it needs to be trimmed or vise versa before apply glue.

5. Put some glue on wherever is convenient & dab the lashes over. Gently dab the excess away.

6. Place the lashes from the middle and press it/ move it close to your lashes line. Then gently push it inwards to closely fit with the lashes/ eye lid.

7. Line your eyes again at the point/ area where the glue dries.

8. Apply mascara so that the real lashes matches with the falsies.

Lastly... tada.....

Recent visit to Watson

2 weeks ago, I visited to Watson after reading some blog posts regarding the Watson passport, my hand started to itch. I'm actually doubting whether to get the passport or not because member fee is required. Anyway, I got my Watson passport because I haul more and Watson.

I didn't really get many things from Watson. I changed my shampoo and got myself Pantene shampoo, it smells really good! Since my main motif to Watson is to get the Watson passport, I made my haul as tiny as possible.

Basically I only got the Watson passport, few Nature&Co. brochure and Nexcare 3M acne patch.

The passport actually cost me RM12, I think it is really expensive. But it doesn come with a thick book of voucher. Sad to tell, non of the voucher attracts my attention for this moment...

Acne patch is really cool! I will review this items as soon as possible.

My Never Ending Acne War

My never ending acne war has been troubling me since early of July! It is a long post with long stories. ahem~

It has been awhile that I'm having bad, bad skin. Since ever I finished my study and enter the society uni aka working, my skin started to react very weird plus starting with improper skincare made my skin even worse. I've been free from acne for years and never have problem while trying any sort of new skincare. But things change drastically when I use Cellnique skincare. Please not to think that Cellnique skincare is bad, is just not my luck. It was way too strong than what I've expected. I do love some of the cellnique product such as their Bio Renewal Mask & Action Sebum Gel, other than these.... my skin not so likey~

I'll review the Cellnique skincare next time since I'm totally gave up trying the cellnique product already! Everytime I tried, it made acne pop up from my skin. Total disaster! I can't 100% blame on it but it is the very early stage causing my skin to be really bad and start to have " NO CURE" acne. I've been using different kind of skincare products to cure my acne, it seems to be ok but the results aren't long lasting.

My opinion of factors causing my acne:
(i) food intake - less vegetables & fruits since I work aka I cook less
(ii) improper skincare products & makeup products
(iii) dirty air since I walked out from the industry areas to have lunch
(iv) skin dehydrated & pores clog seriously

My so far solution:
(i) Bring my own bento for lunch
(ii) use prescriptive skincare from pharmacy
(iii) consume at least 2L of water in office
(iv) drive to work means no public transport and least exposure to dirty air
(v) try to sleep early & use clean bed sheet/pillow case/blanket
(vi) minimize the usage of makeup

I did purchase Naruko skincare set but I ended up decide not to use it 1st. Since my beloved bf got me prescriptive skincare. My overview for my current skincare after using it for 2 weeks.

1. Acnederm Foaming Face Wash
2. Axcel Clindamycin 1% topical solution
3. Axcel Fusidic Acid-B cream
4. Fucidin antiobiotic cream
5. Doxycycline Hydrochloride 100mg

1. Acnederm foaming wash
- cleansing adjunct treatment for pimples & acne.
- anti-bacterial solution with cetrimide 1% w/w, chlorhexidine gluconate 0.5% w/w
- antiseptic solution with moisturizing base
- use morning & night

Basically it pumps out in mousse/foam texture. The bubbles are really tiny and soft which supposed to penetrate better into the pores and removes the excess sebum and kills the acne bacteria. At 1st it really dries out my skin but it works in suppressing the pimples.

2. Axcel Clindamycin 1 % topical solution.
- contain clindamycin phosphate 1% w/v.
- do not use on open wound
- dab on the acne & it will dry out that part and your skin start to peel.
- causing the whitehead/ blackhead on skin pop out and you squeeze it out
- use on acne vulgaris bacteria

Side effects:
- topical applications may be associated with local irritation and contact dermatitis
- sufficient clindamycin may be absorbed to produce systemic affects that have been assocaited with colitis
- the use of topical clindamycin including gastrointestinal effects, oily skin and gram-negative colliculitis.

I think this item is very light but at the same time it really thinning my skin with purposes letting the whiteheads/blackheads pop out and I got to squeeze it out. If I accidentally dab it on open wound, it will create a slight sting/burn sensation. So far so good, but I think for the time being, I will use it for another 2 weeks and I shall stop using this item. Since it is an antibiotic, I got really worried that I might be resistant to it due to long term application. This item has to be stored at cool dry place, protected from sunlight and below 30 degree celcius.

3. Axcel Fusidic acid-B cream
- fusidic acid 2% w/w
- betamethasone 17-Valerate (micronised) 0.1% w/w
- use for imflammatory dermatoses where bacteria infection is present or likely to occur, ie. atopic eczema, discoid aczema, stasis eczema, seborrhoiec dematitis, contact dermatitis, lichen simplex chronicus, psoriasis, discoid lupus erythematosus.
- if apply on open wound, it may cause systemic toxicity.

Side effects:
- hypersensitivity has rarely encountered
- excessive application can led to loss of skin collagen and subcutaneous atrophy. eg striae, thinning and dilation to the superficial blood vessels especially when skin folds are involved.
- repeated topical use may lead to resistance

To be honest, so far I've only use this at the 1st & 2nd day. When apply on the skin, it doesn't feel anything, but it will create an oily hint behind. Later on, the next day, I noticed the infected part aka acne is obvious noticeable on my skin. Then, I need to squeeze out the acne again! Till now, I've not been using this cream at all due to its side effect sounds really scary. I would only use this when the acne was out of control. Currently, I do not use this cream.

4. Fucidin antibiotic cream
- fusidic acid Ph Eur. 20mg
- cream base
- apply on open wound & after squeezing the acne

Personally, I really try not to use so many antibiotic on my skin. It seems to control and works as anti inflammation cream. After apply, it makes my skin super oily. The good thing is after I squeeze my acne, this cream seems to help & prevent further skin inflammation and control the pores size making it less visible.

5. Doxycycline Hydrochloride 100mg
- consume 1 per day.
- consume for 1 month
- taken after breakfast
- contain doxycycline hydrochloride 100mg (potency)
- purpose: clean blood and remove toxin

I have no idea what how it works, basically I know consume antibiotic for 1 month is insane. I hate it but still I take it. From what I've observe on my skin, it seems to work. So far so good. But I tell you, I'm really going to quit this after this antibiotic treatment.

Conclusion:

Wash my face with acnederm -> check if there's 'ripen' pimple, squeeze it out -> apply with fusidin cream

else

check no 'ripen' pimples -> apply clindamycin solution

My verdict: If I would choose, I will not take this antibiotic treatment simply because it will cause resistance & I hate it. I don't even think this as a proper skincare for myself even I've been using it for 2 weeks. Well, after another 2 weeks, if it cure then good, but if it didn't I'm still going to stop it and shift to my Naruko skincare. It makes me feel like a patient.

I really don't recommend people to try this type of antibiotic treatment unless, you really ran out of idea how to treat your acne skin. I took this treatment simply because my bf already got it and fine.... I try it, else I really wouldn't put myself into whole bunch of antibiotic cream, capsule and solution. It is insane!!!!

October: A Piece of Me

Time flies and I've been working for almost 4 months & 3 months at my current company. I would say that I'm not very liking the current working environment simply because my work is a lot than before. This month is a big, not so happy or pleasant month for me. I've so used to stay the entire 2nd floor by myself without having any housemates and now, I have tons of housemate. I'm very picky with almost everything, 1st and foremost cleanliness. Well, they are freaking dirty and messy! I hate it sooo much.

Small Haul : Nature Republic & Naruko

During this September month, life has been really busy and hectic. I'm pretty much in a depress mode rather than relax & having nice sleep in the night. In the mean time, my skin turns bad again, but this time MAINLY on the forehead. Anyway, I'm putting myself in ACNE COMBAT period. I hate acne ALOT!

Other than these, I've got back and slowly settle down from vacation & short trip. It is VERY tiring. My body doesn't have ample time to rest at all which lead me to more disease/sick. Last 2 weeks I made some haul but this time mainly focusing on skincare.

I got Nature Republic skincare :
Kelp wash off mask & night solution for trouble skin (sleeping mask) + freebie brightening mask

Since I watched Fuz's video regarding Naruko skincare, I got an itch again. I haul for more skincare products. I ordered the Narcicuss skincare set & jelly masks. To be honest, the packaging isn't really attractive, but it was really well made & designated for recycle purposes.
This set came with the cute facial cloth which can be used as a guidance for facial massage.

These are all the items that I got throughout the month of September. I'm really working hard to cut down from hauling more! More information about these items will be included in coming products review.
