Drugstore Love

Hey guys, over the past few months, I've been playing and experiment with some drugstore makeup and lipbalms. I noticed that I've hooked up with some of them, especially for the price and quality. Good for students and people on budget.

I'm so in love with the Revlon lip butter, I owned 4 shades : candy apple, strawberry shortcake, berry smoothie and  sweet tart. These colors are just nice for casual day out and work appropriate. Easy to match with my everyday look or just a swipe for hint of color. Perrrrrrfect!

When it comes to eye look. I love liquid liner but gel/cream liner work just fine too. I found that cream liners are very easy to work with for people who have lots.lots of shiver hands. This Maybelline cream liner comes with few shades but I only own the black color, quite intense but for simple everyday look, you can never go wrong with it.
Next, there are so many hypes on the baby lips. I found out some lippies like this doesn't have a very good color pay off. But for peach, how can I reject owning it. For pigmented lips the color might not able to show well, or not even reveal the true color. I like the soft tint of color. Sort of healthy look or a brisk walk in the morning around the neighbourhood. As much as I love it, I have to point a tiny problem that I've with this, the SPF makes my lips peel.

Other than that, my all time favourite mascara. Bought it again and again. Love it sooooo much. Keeps my eye free from 'Panda's Eye'.

Nivea lip balm always work best for me. When my lips chapped it just acts like a perfect coat, protect and soften it. Just like a kiss of moisture!
Since the weather is hot and humid over here and I stay quite near the sea too. Staying clean and matte is a must have. Maybelline matte powder I love you! It stays on my skin nicely, good thing to tell is it doesn't look grey on me. I love my Stila Illuminating powder (shade: 10 watts) but for a cheaper powder, this works just fine.

Now come to my holy grail lip product. Well, not only for lips for my nails, fingers, elbow, heels.... phooo!
This Rosebud Salve smells so good, soothing and heals my skin so well. Though I stay in a hot climate country but I literally stay in air-conditioning room for almost 24hours per day. Whenever my skin scream for rescue, it just save like a touch of magic wand. Wonderful. As for lip therapy part, it works better than any other.

Lastly, eye makeup. I only own Maybelline Expert wear eyeshadows. This is the only series I'll look and use.
Personally I feel that the texture and color pay off from this series work best.

I love the shade: Chai Latte, almost the dupe for Esperique Precious Dress On Shiny Eyes C-1 but with more matte shade and less sparkle. The color is like brown + bronze shade, very wearable and multi tasking palette. I think I might get the entire series such as designer chocolate and sunlit bronze.
Well, well, as much as I enjoy using the quad I love some of the duos too. I just love how easy they blend in with the style, looks and occasion.  I love the Modern metallics sunkissed olive and Chic Natural Dusk.
These shades are easy to work with. Just swipe the lighter color all over the eyes and darker shades for contouring. Easy peasy!

So, what are your drugstore love makeup?

Skincare Haul

Hey guys, shopping is probably the best thing in the world. However, when it comes to way too much of unnecessary purchase it is just a bunch of waste.
I've been blogging quite sometimes now, and I stopped blogging a little while back. Is not that I lost passion in it, but it has come to a stage that when I looked back the things I bought and used, it was a big OMG!

I've no longer buying any sort of makeup for probably 6 months but I do and still buying skincare every three to six months because is a need. I've hit pan for my Cellnique products and decided to repurchase the mask/scrub and the gel cream, my face seems to adapt very well with these. On top of  that, I decided to try out their vital repair cleansing milk, well, it smells like vanilla.  Further review will be around November when I came back from my Shanghai trip.

In the mean time, I picked up Kose value set last month. It comes with a cleanser, toner, emulsion and hydration booster. The set comes with some miniature samples, great for travelling. I found that this set of skincare is quite worth the money as things came in full size which probably can last for 3 months. 1 month usage, I can only say it is just a usual skincare for my skin with a tad bit drying to my skin. Anyway, is good to tell that my sensitive skin react nicely. In depth review next time.

Now, I truly believe that skincare is much more important than makeup. With a good and suitable skincare product your skin will look nicer and less makeup is required. Less is more. And one thing, I love simple skincare which doesn't need to apply so many products + layer to skin. Now, I'm quite happy with my current skincare items.
