Motivation : Look At the Bright Side

( image: Pinterest)

Last week when I watched Youtube and newspaper I came across a lot of negative incident happening to people all around the world. Whether it is a disaster, bad news, bad economics the days still have to continue and instead of feel sad all the time, why not just look on the brighter side, at least your mind isn't immerse in all the negative thoughts.

I've faced with sad incidents too and I feel very bad about it, even until now it still cause an impact on me. When I browsed through Pinterest (let me tell you, this place is really interesting), this positive notes just caught my eyes. It feels so true and so real, even someone with a broken heart will still able to look on the bright side, it makes me feel so good and filled with positive vibes.

Talking about the intense economy in Malaysia, a lot of people lose their jobs, companies started to cut cost and sometimes we just can't help it especially if you're the bread winner of the family. Almost everything are costly right now, the streets are not as busy as previous years although Chinese New Year is just around the corner.

Almost everyone has their problems and difficulties to deal with, I experienced it and I know it isn't easy. But instead of mingle around with all those issues why not just take a break and look on something better, something nicer with hopes. I bet, it will be a good one and it's gonna be alright, it is just the matter of time to heal those pain, to boost up our economy and to get a new job.

Happy Friday !

A Comforting Dinner

Dealing with loss isn't easy especially on something that meant so much to me. I feel very down most of the times even it has been almost 2months. The working environment and the workload itself also suffocates me a lot. I just can't help myself and when I'm alone, I soak my pillows and bed sheets with gallons of tears.

I've been always thankful and grateful to have my hubby who is so understanding and loving. We had a nice dinner twice last week although both of us are really busy. I think people nowadays tend to work way too hard, seriously I've been working 7days in a row per week too! Often, we tend to spend most of our times in office and missed out happy family times. In my opinion, this is a very unhealthy trend and one day you will be so, so EMO.

No matter how busy you are, spare some times for your loves one and for those who are important. Having a short break from work and enjoying the rest of the time with family or friends make me feel so good, at least I can feel the warmth of love. Take a break and have a nice meal, nothing is better than this.

Back to Blogging

Dear blog readers,

If you're still here.... ( I hope so, and my heart feel so comforting to know that). As you may aware, I've not been blogging much this year and even I've been saying I will blog more regularly but it is HARD. Lots of things being going on whether is from work, family, life and health... It makes me feel very frustrated, sad and then lots of bad emotions just came in. I hope and pray hard that things will settle down and get better.

At this moment, I'm in the midst of typing more blog posts for this year before it comes to the end. All I can say is I'm trying but really, I can't promise I'll blog consistently. Life is just like a roller coaster and I think the best way for me to do right now is follow the flow. What really happened started from the end of Sept till now are just very unpredictable and I still mostly in the grieving mode. Oh dear, I just hope after all these storms I can see a beautiful rainbow SOON. Seriously my emotion has been struggling a lot, especially the bad incident that happened recently, I literally just soaked in tears for weeks. Towards certain points I even questioned myself if I'm depressed because I've been too and overly sad.

Anyhow, let's not touch too much about that matter anymore. I hope if any of you are in the sad mode like I do, or being very depressed, feeling helpless please always remember to be brave and be positive. I know it sounds easy but it takes a lot of effort to succeed. Just try our best and have faith.

   Till next time~

Beware, We're Under Attack by Haze! & Top 5 Health Tips

(photo adapted from The Star)

It seems to be a very common phenomena in Malaysia where we will be attacked by haze every year from the uncontrollable forest burning in Sumatera, Indonesia. I seriously think this is a very unhealthy trend and till now, there isn't any prevention steps to avoid this haze issue.

I remember when I was a kid, my country didn't have too much issue of haze and even there are it doesn't create such huge impact towards our daily lives. Years after that, haze has become more and more serious, it not only affects the flight schedule, outdoor activities, health but it has become an every year trend whereby school are forced to close due to the dangerous API level.

The haze has started about 2 weeks ago and my throat started to get irritated, same thing happen to my respiratory system. I actually suffered rhinitis every morning and night especially when the haze getting thicker and I got so confused whether I am sick or just having allergy because it was so bad. I sneezed every morning and got nose blocked once I woke up, it just not nice and uncomfortable. Things get better after awhile but the good things always wouldn't last long.

Today, I think I feel so much better probably because I keep myself active and delivered a proper vitamin to my body.

Here are my 5 tips:

1. Be active - workout indoor instead of outdoor, eg: indoor gym/indoor swimming pool. I'm a gym maniac, so attending indoor classes definitely benefits me a lot. I didn't suffer any breathing issue when I workout at indoor.

2. Drink extra water - drink more water than usual, when you are more hydrated the sore throat issue can be prevented

3. Consume Vitamin C - consume fresh fruits such as oranges, kiwi, lemons, passion fruits, these high vitamin C fruits will not only quenches your thirst but it helps to strengthen the firewall of the entire body aka immune system. If you're having difficulties reaching the fruits, then opt for vitamin C tablets or soluble version. For adult go for 1000mg vitamin C, for children go for 100-300mg per day, please consume after meal.

4. Rest - rest is another good way to prevent diseases, why? When we've enough rest, ample sleep,  our immune system is actually stronger. So, a strong solid wall can help in preventing sickness.

5. Mask - always wear a mask, I recommend to have a 3 ply mask when you're on any outdoor activities whether just going out for lunch/ taking bus back home or pick up some rubbish at your backyard. Wearing a mask will filter those unnecessary chemical particles in the air which might have a long term side effects towards our health.

Before I end my post, HERE is another link regarding haze precautions and skincare tips for haze pollution, check it out if you are interested. I hope my 5 tips will be helpful for those who are living in a country facing the same pollution issue like I do. Be safe and stay healthy!

The Weekly Blog #1

Greetings everyone. I thought to share some happy moments I had last week, it was really fun and an enjoyable one. I snapped quite a lot pictures on flowers because hubby and I actually visited to a flower/garden shop where we bought some soils, pots and flowers and some vegetables seeds for his granny to be planted at her home. I have been thinking to get some pots and ready mixed soil for myself too.
Another exciting news is my avocado seed started to show its root and I'm over the moon because I've been trying to plant avocado for months. Really can't wait to see some leaves coming out... weee~

Also, last week the Curves gym that I joined had done an open day, I was in-charged to do blood test (glucose test) and blood pressure test for the members, I'm glad that people these days started to alert about their health and trying to have a healthy lifestyle. We have potluck as well, those aunties are such a great cook, oh dear, they cooked so nice and the food were delicious! See, even the cup cakes look so pretty and mouth-watering. Well, treating yourself a little bit of sweet stuff once a while is alright, just don't go over board.

I've read the Get The Glow cookbook by Madeleine Shaw, I highly recommend this book, it is good and most of the recipe are quite easy to cook, nothing too difficult for a beginner. Since I don't have smoked paprika I sort of alternate the marinate ingredients for my pan fry salmon, surprisingly it turned out quite nice, my hubby like it! I used to bake my salmon and this baby step of trying pan fry salmon is sooooo easy! Also, I've tried out some small japanese cucumber, it was so crunchy and delicious. Oh, one more thing, I finally ate my long waited fruits -- passion fruit, it taste a bit sour but then, it contents high vitamin C which is good to boost our immune system and also for our skin.

Last weekend I got to visit my parents and my hometown, oh, mom's cook a lot of food for me and I'm so happy to visit them every month. Although it was only a 2days trip, it meant so much for me, spending time with family members is always so sweet and warm. I hope this week will be nice as well.

Have a nice day~

Move It Monday: You're Important

Let's talk about this seriously, I mean it. Is not mean for only Monday post but is sort of an inspiration that helped me gone through so many phases of my life as a worker and also as a family member.

First of all, hugs, and you are not alone because someone is always out there lending their helping hands to help and also support you in many ways. The only thing you need to do is talk about it so that people are aware what you need and how you feel, at least this is the least you can do to make you feel better.

At work, no matter what position you are, everyone has their own task to do, as long as you accomplish your task properly you're consider as a good helper and also a good team member. I know and I do understand the tiny little voice in our heart might whisper why do I only handle small task? Am I not important? so on and so forth... I used to think that, but after I told this to my boss, I've changed my mind. Just imagine, if everyone holding the same important task and who else will be going to solve some other tasks, and what if all were link together? Let's see a simpler view, a lorry driver and few other workers who helped to pick and categorize rubbish. A lorry driver seems to be very important, but without the help of other workers, can he finish his daily task? So many rubbish to be collected and to be categorized or not, so without the helping hands from other workers whose task seem so invaluable and dirty in eyes of a lot people, will he be able to finish his task? Whether you are holding a big or small position, everyone is important, because without you some tasks might not even be settled or solved. Don't feel neglected because people sometimes just haven't really learn the art of appreciation. Be happy, you're always important for everyone!

Now, as a family member, everyone have their own role, other than the bread winner of the family, others play and important role as well, whether you are young or old. For example, a baby knows nothing but he/she is important even they are still small. A baby is the apple my eyes. They make me, everyone happy and cheerful, they are cute and help others forget about their hectic work once they reach home. See, even their role is tiny, but it matters, why, because they are important. Housewives, without them helping the husband take care after the kids, how possible he can concentrate at his work?

So, whenever you feel you'll lonely, tiny in the eyes/heart of others, don't be afraid and come over, I'll give a big, warm hug. No matter how small you feel, you're always not alone, be strong and be still, someone is out there for you. Raise your hand and speak about it. Always remember you are important even you are as tiny as a dust. You're important because no one is alone and being abandon forever. Have faith and hope...

Move It Monday : Be Blessed

Good day... is Monday again and this time I thought to start a short series for every Monday for the month of September. I try to keep it short and simple but most important is some of these are very inspired in my day to day life.

I know, when the weekends left we all will craw into our bed thinking what would it be for the next day. For those who work in a higher position in the company ,those who left the last Friday with lots of pending stuff to be settled, students who have deadline for assignments/exams and etc, thinking about the arrival of Monday is torturing and stressful.

So, a better way to kick start the monstrous Monday is be blessed just like the meaningful picture in this post. The more you lean to the negative side the worst it will be and it doesn't help anything at all. You will end up with problems, issues with customers, colleagues and all those unhappy things. Now, think hard why you choose to be like that?

Be grateful and blessed that we are living in a peaceful condition with no war going on around us and we are not refugees running away from country looking for shelters. Focus on the happy things around us, we are blessed enough to have our loves one who love and care about us unconditionally.

Whenever you are stressed out, think about the sweet fruits that will be harvested later on. Is better to strive now and relax later. Stop focusing on all those problems and indirectly our brain, the more you worry about it the bigger the problems will be emphasized and enlarged. Just relax, is just Monday not the end of the world, don't push yourself too hard. Follow the flow and try to make the best of it.

Lastly, we should be very thankful and feel blessed when we're able to wake up this Monday. Many of them in poor country might not have the chance to enjoy or experience what we have right now. Having a positive mind and positive vibes will definitely enlighten the Monday's blue mood.

Learning Embrace Yourself

Well, well.... it has been months for not blog anything. Work and life has always been very busy, hectic and tiring. I even work overnight, burning the mid night oil in office for a month and when I flashed back, gosh, that was really crazy and insane.

Now, I don't think things have been solved or settled down yet, but the work flow has certainly improved though there's still a huge space for improvement. Anyway, that was my short blurb for my long MIA.

All these MIA months I've been struggling a lot to reach a balance point between work and life, it is always something that I'm fighting for. For me, I worked hard and I will make sure I play real, real hard later on. Doesn't matter if  you have to work and busy as a bee, but the outcomes are what make you feel happy and satisfied.

Learning mbrace yourself is what I want to share. For me I don't have much close friends who stay near me and even if yes, it would take hours drive to meet each other and my work schedule will be the number one reason not allow me to do so. Thus, I've decided to have more hobbies, exercises, personal activities and get involved with some charity work, trust me, I do enjoy each of them a lot.

To love yourself doesn't always mean you have to spend tons of money to pamper yourself, simply enjoy yourself with some special events/moments. For example, hubby and I participate in donation for children with autism, although it took almost my whole Saturday, deep in my heart I'm so glad that my little helping hands and small amount of money put onto the right place -satisfaction. See the cross stitch in photo, is one of our purchase from the meaningful event.

Secondly, if you like me, get involve into more sports activities, just beware not to over stress your body and muscle to prevent injury. If you've read my previous posts, you might already know I'm so attracted with the Curves workout for women, it is a wonderful place, just 30mins and I burned so many calories, my highest record for my mere 30mins workout is 611calories!  I also enjoying Zumba class, very fun and entertaining. Recently I joined another workout class - Piloxing. This one is so challenging, it is a combination of dance, pilate and boxing. OMG, my muscles screaming for help! But it was so, so challenging and I learn - always believe you can do it, just keep holding on!

Thirdly, listen to your body and give what it needs. We all have those moments when we feel extremely down, lethargic, emo, etc. We are only human and is normal to give yourself a break and please don't feel guilty right after that. Stress from work and not able to get a day off, try to read some happy book, happy quotes, encouraging words, it helps and it works for me. Craving for a lil personal space/time? Sometimes is ok to turn down some invitations hanging out with friends. Just be sure to cherish and enjoy those personal space/time because it will really help to energize the entire you. Eat well and rest well.

Fourthly, no one is perfect and those imperfections are the keys that make who we are and how special we are. Work out where you shine, everyone has their specialties, and get flourished from there. Eg, I'm not good in doing things tidily, and never, ever expect me to draft/draw things in a very neat way. However, I can do things fast and keep things work on track and I think, I'm pretty good in time management especially IF I've my MUST DO  to do list to accomplish.  So, be patient and enjoy the whole process, we wouldn't know what we really good at until we spend time and practice it.

Lastly, there are amazing ways for you to embrace yourself, tips mentioned above are just what I think that really helps me. Remember, love yourself then only you can learn to embrace yourself. Is a journey that will guide and help you through challenges and hardships, just enjoy it and give yourself the time to grow gracefully.

It is already 2015 and it is time to check back last year resolution before start drafting and list out the new, new year resolutions/ goals for 2015. Besides, I would like to share some personal highlights in this post as well because some of it made me grow as a better person.

Well, well... I think I hit most of it.... wee~~~~

  • Maintained a good relationship with most of family members.
  • Visit relatives in Malacca twice
Highlights
 - I've been driving back and forth to visiting my lil brother for almost 6months. It took a lot of encouragements, responsibilities, love and care.
- Took bus back to Malacca just to visit my aunties and cousins. My butt was sore as the travelling time took almost 8hours. But it is worth it for a family gathering.

- I also feel more confident and happier. Best part is I can fit it most of the clothing now.Yay!

Beauty
Failed. I bought so many, way too many.
Highlights
- Although I've spent over the month of Sept - Dec, I have a new friend aka the partner of crime. She introduced some really great quality makeup which I adore, helping me getting stuffs I can't get in my little town, deliver things to me... aww... uncountable. And I just want to tell out loud...I do really appreciate and grateful to know her as a friend.

Savings
I would give myself 50%. I actually save quite a lot early of the year but over spent by the month of Sept till Dec.

Travel

  • Visited to KL, met up some old friends.
  • Visited to Yunnam in April. The YuLong snow mountain and the scenery is wonderful.
Highlights
I think travel is a must for me mainly because it rejuvenates my tired brain and body. Most tour is tired, no lie, it is tiring but I'm really happy when I got the 1 week time off to a new place with my hubby, seeing some nice scenery, enjoying some fresh air and the lush of nature. No words able to describe how happy am I to have wonderful travel moments with my husband. Is like you're so busy with work 24/7 and suddenly there's a break with no disturbance from work/ customers and mobile phone, that was very, very great.

Despite of all those airplanes missing& crashes incidents, nature disaster -floods, steeped dropped in MYR currency... 2014 was pretty amazing for me. I've learned a lot regarding time management, family, loves and hope. So, always remember to be grateful for what you've because we never know when the precious things will slip trough our fingers. Whenever you almost give up, please be positive because it generates positive thoughts and energy.

If you aren't doing well in 2014, don't give up, start planning for 2015. It is still the beginning of the year. Just make sure to have a check list on what you planned to achieve in 2015 and do you very best to resolve it.

I Do Really Appreciate Sunday

Rise and shine! Is Sunday again, oh my.... is a special Sunday for me because I'm off today and hopefully I would be able to spend the rest of the day with my hubby and doing some happy little hobbies and boring house chores. Today, I'm not going to talk about beauty related things but I would like to share how happy and excited I am for Sunday and rambling about it. It has been awhile I didn't do such post.

Since I've been moved to this new place 2 years ago, I didn't have Sunday off each week, my Sunday off depends on shift and workload and staffs availability. I do find it a bit nerve wrecking and clench fist but I'm not going to feel upset because when you know how to appreciate the not so easy to get Sunday off, it is something very special and happy day.

Most of the Sunday I will visit my little bro since he is staying alone for study, I will pay him my visit whenever I can, sort of family time and I'm really content with that. Sometimes, I will shop together with my hubby, walking around here and day, enjoy the crisp air, I'm happy. And there's just too many sometimes for me to share here.... countless of words to describe how much I enjoy and appreciate my Sunday off.

Part of my Sunday routine if I'm off and free from work, I will love to enjoy some nice meal with my family and the love ones. Hubby and I recently encounter a new Japanese restaurant nearby the seaside, I think it tastes lovely. I enjoy Japanese food and Italian food very much, match with my taste bud I supposed.

Then, I will spend sometime chit chatting with my mom trough the phone. Doing some bakery if I'm in the mood, sipping numerous cups of tea, munching butter cookies.... oh, isn't it lovely and nice?

My point of view for Sunday is it has to be really relaxing and nothing related with work. I'm not sure if I really like my current job but sometimes, I just wish I have my regular working hours from Monday till Friday and Saturday, Sunday off. How much I've missed those days...  Sunday is the time I spent to do things I enjoy and not to forget, go to church (if you're Christian).  Sunday is the day whereby the shopping center is packed with lots of peoples and hardly to find a car park, but sometimes, when I pondered back, I do really miss those Sundays. Sundays should be happy instead of sad, Sundays remind me of my late grandfather. Oh, Sunday......

In case you are like me, need to work on Sundays shift every month, try to have those happy thoughts in your mind, it will make you feel better and merrier.

Weekends Highlights

Talking about weekends, seriously it just makes me feel more homesick. I enjoyed last weekends very much, I got to see my parents and sibling, and my grandma. So, tell you what, I ate 3 cakes in a week. Haha, that's a lot for me, thank God for giving me such wonderful time with family.

This cake for my mother-in-law, we celebrated earlier before I heading back home.

This is the strawberry cake I baked for my mom, I was in rush so I used those ready made packet but I also added in some blueberries.

And the last cake, is for my grandma.... made of Pandan leaves, super delicious and most important, grandma was very, very happy on that day!

Lastly, I decided not to bake muffins so I baked a quick bread for hubby!

** everyone seems liking this quick bread, it was completely gone from the dining table the next morning **

How's your last weekends? I hope it was a good one and a memorable one for you too.
Looking forward for more lovely weekends ahead~

What I Got from Yunnam, China

It has been almost a month since I've came back from my Yunnam, China vacation. It was so much fun and wonderful memories. During my vacation, I bought some skincare, jewelries, tea and silk and of course souvenir for family members. I thought to share with you all about what I thought really worth to get, so next time if any of you decided to travel there, you got an idea about what to get.

As the saying goes : '' Sharing is caring =  "
Here we go......

Lavender pouches from the flower market. Tell you, if you love flower, whether is real/ fake/ dried flower you'll love that place ALOT.  Everything made/came from flowers are available in the flower market! I also got lavender essential oil 10ml and a rose face mist 50ml. Oh man, now I wish I got more from there, the face mist is AMAZING! and things are pretty affordable and tourist entitle extra discount... wohoo

People said, when you visit to China you can get/ find/ bought good quality of silk. I'm not sure how good the silk quality they have but with the price and the touch of silk linger around my skin feels incredibly good and great.  I got 1 bottle of pearl cream, can use all over the body and face and 2 jars of Bio-silver ginseng gel with silk extract. I got 3 because it was sale whereby I bought 3 for RMB100. I look at my hubby and he said go ahead. The pearl cream smell super good and make my skin feel so soft and seriously very, very smooth.

Next, during the introduction of silk products/goodies the sales representative kept on promoting really high end, high thread count of bed sheets/blankets/ multipurpose blanket which and be folded into tiny pillow. As she introduced, everything getting pricier and pricier. Most of my tour members went out of the shop. Hubby and I totally no intention to buy since we already have and using one right now. Suddenly a young man SA came over and said he will sell the bed sets with free multipurpose blanket/pillow and bed sheets and blanket cover (I think the thread count is near to 1000) at price of RMB 2180 for king size. There are various pattern to choose and hubby decided to pick the dandelion print. I chose a cozy printing for the multipurpose pillow/blanket. Well, surprise, surprise, we bought it and the little pillow/blanket (pink color with rose printing on it) will be used when our little baby born. I'm still hoping to get pregnant soon...everything is totally worth it. Later on, more aunties and uncles came in a bought the set we got offered.

from left to right are the shawl/scarf I got from the Lijiang Old Town night market. The printing is nice, the price is even nicer. I got 2 for RMB30. Wow, such a great deal. The white one is really pretty and great to mix and match with a lot of dresses while the pink one is more matured look.
Oh, by the way, I also got 4 Burberry blouse and Polo shirts. According to my tour guide, the Burberry at the outlet in Dali Hotel is authentic, it is cheap because was made in China, some are rejected items because of some very small, minor and almost flawless flaw. Seriously, I've never own any Burberry clothing and own 2 polo shirts feels great. The texture and the quality of the clothing is super, super soft and wonderful. The other 2 blouses were the gave to my mother-in-law.

Since we also visited to Dali which is famous for its silver jewelry, I got some studs, necklace for my mom, grandma and myself. It is super, super bright and stunning. I only shown mine because I've already sent out the gifts to my mom and grandma.

I got the infinity studs, I'm quite regret actually for not getting more studs. haha.. Each studs cost RMB180. Since I bought more than RMB1000 for my total purchase I was entitled to buy this color silver, cute fish necklace (14''inch) I believe at RMB60. Very happy. I recommend to buy the bangle for the old folks as the silver purity reach 9999.99%. But of course the price will be lots different. I'm looking forward to get more silver jewelries next time. Perhaps ask someone to CP for me... heheheh

Last but not least, how not to get tea leaves when you visit to China. Yunnam is famous for the PuEr tea. PuEr tea also famous for its healthcare benefits such as reduce cholesterol levels in our blood serum, helping in weight loss, breakdown the fats compounds ant etc...

I got bunch of PuEr tea leaves age 9year old and I also bought the Dai minorities 21year old tea brick for my dad. I've never like drinking tea until I got older, and married, each time I got back home, I will enjoy PuEr tea with my dad. This time visiting to China, I also got the newly released Jasmine PuEr blend tea. It smells so good, the jasmine scent so very soothing too.

All in all, I hope my little tips of shopping in Yunnam, China help. Hope you all enjoy ~

Have a great day!

Life Update: Everything Goes on Pretty Well

Hi lovely readers, I'm very content about my current life nowadays. Thank God for giving me all the good stuffs, good people around me.

I'm just back from vacation with my hubby, well, consider it as our honeymoon it was awesome. I will do a review about the place I went, I think it was very fun, sort of a close to nature trip. I'm content and happy.

Regarding my blog, I don't blog as regular as previous (during my university life), I hope I can blog for full time, but it seems too difficult, I work, so I only blog whenever I'm free. It feels good, I'm not constrain or force to blog every single day. And since, I'm not living in big cities, I've less access to big shopping center, checking out the latest trend of makeup/skincare. It has pros and cons but think for a brighter side, it might be a good thing too. You might think, why not just online shopping? I just don't really like it anymore, simply because I like to see and hold the products, tested it out before purchasing, UNLESS I'm very frustrated to have it/ own it. I noticed changes about myself, I'm less overspend, sometimes I just bought because of hype and some items just end up in 'box of museum', waiting for the day they hit pan. Holy gracious!

Now, I buy when I need , not because for the sake of blogging nor catching up the trend or products fever. I'll still haul once awhile, topping up some skincare/trying out new things. Spend within my own credit limits and save more in bank for future use and future baby (IF I got one).

Oh, last month I also signed up for gym workout at Curves. So, basically I workout every single day for 30mins except for Sunday and public holiday. What I think about Curves, it looks simple but intense. I sweat a lot! It feels good though. After workout, I feel very refresh and energetic. Besides, coach will monitor my weight and percentage of fat that's been shed off and as well as muscle gain. Great!

So, since I've decided to join the gym, I might as well change my dietary to a healthier way. Less sugar, lower carb intake, more vege, more fibers... all these leads to a better and happier me. After workout I will blend fruit juices/smoothie and hard boiled eggs with oats/whole meal bread. Looking forward for results end of May. Nervous!

As usual, work has been really busy, some colleagues went for maternity leaves, longer working hours soon. Anyway, I believe that well management of time is important, you manage it well, you able to do a lots of stuff and vice versa.

I bought 2 cookbooks during a book sales, everything is cheap and I enjoy reading it, even though I, myself is unsure when to have that mood to try making those dishes. Haha...
I've learnt to make granola bars and fruits Popsicle few days back, very enjoyable.
Oh, and if you still hanging there, reading this blog post, I've instagram now, I find it is very addictive and I enjoy taking pictures, captures all the good, sweet moments of my life. Feel free to drop by - click here

All in all, everything goes on pretty well, I'm thankful and thank God for such great arrangement for me. Hallelujah! I hope you all having great times as well, my mood is like a blooming flower in spring season.

Enjoy ~

Haze Attack & Precautions to Take Note & Skin Issues

(image from google)

Oh my.... seriously I think we have haze every year. The weather in my country is really bad these days, we have not get a single drop of rain for weeks and some part were experiencing drought, no water supply...
My area isn't good either, I noticed the area is quite hazy since last weeks, no rain falls makes the whole weather even worse. CO2 trapped heat and the air just just hot and dirty. Many people fall sick and got heat strokes. What can I say more? Overall, it is just bad.

(images from google)

Off course, we aren't letting these issues burden our health and skin. So, please wear masks whenever you go out and drink plenty of water. Please not to do any outdoor exercise at this moment as you will inhale more dirty air, putting your health at risk. Drink as much water as possible, we get dehydrated easily and water prevents us to get heat stroke. Remember to take Vitamin C too, it helps to boost our immune system. If our immune system is strong enough,we will not fall sick easily. For adults, we can take 1000mg Vitamin C per day just make sure you don't go over dose, else, trust me, you will get stomach ache and purging non stop.

If your are having asthma patient in your family members, make sure they stay indoor and use mask before heading out the house. For those who have sensitive skin/ rhinitis, just beware with the current weather. Make sure you close all your windows and switch on air conditioner, if the morning air is clean enough, you can still open windows and allow good, clean air to flow in. Just make sure the house and place you sleep/rest is clean. Stand by your medicine so that you can reach it easily when you need them.

Ahem... I know some old folks like to burn rubbish at their house/neighbourhood, just in case your parents/ grandparents happen to be one of them, please educate them, let them aware about the haze issue and burning rubbish will contribute to more haze. I'm pretty sure everyone will be very thankful for your kind act.

Despite of that, ladies and gentlemen, we need to be more patients when it comes to our daily cleansing routine. Make sure the skin is cleanse thoroughly, this can prevent clog pores and blackheads. Dust and dirt will trap in our pores more easily than any other days during this kind of weather. Make sure to use sunscreen and proper hydrating skincare to minimize the side effects of hot, dry weather and dirty air.

Last but not least, I hope my sharing helps and please do whatever that's necessary to ensure we all get well protected from the haze attack For those who suffer water shortage, I do hope everything will get well soon. Rain, rain come to us..... oh rain, rain come to us!

February Highlight 2014

February is certainly a good month, a month with love and joy and presents.....
I have red packets during the Chinese New Year, seeing Chinese Hokkien worship using sugar cane, my birthday, making an egg stand still, hauling Kiehl's skincare, Fuzhou red rice wine noodles, Puma bag from hubby, popiah, badminton/sports with hubby, Valentines presents exchange with hubby, eating Valentines day donuts with my mother-in-law, eating homemade Nyonya kuih, a heart vintage key pendant and some memories during my working days in ex-company.

This month, I didn't upload a monthly favorite post because for me, I love everything this month, so I decided to do a highlight with photos. Photos is always the best illustrator. But just in case you are really curious what are the items I favor the most this month, here's the list:-

I will include my reviews for some items in March.

- Simple Cleansing Sets (hit pan)
- Kiehl's Mid Night Recovery Elixir
- Revlon ColorStay Brow Pencil # Dark Brown
- Clarisonic Mia + Shiseido Perfect Whip Foam
- Clinelle Oil Free Smoothing Compact # Ivory
- Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution
- The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Eau De Toilette

Though February is the shortest month, I think I've enjoyed it to the fullest and it is absolutely fabulous.

Wonderful Weekdays

Yeeehaa..... this whole week is just amazing! I've enjoyed myself with food, festive celebration and lots of loves from family members & friends.

Here's some photos and some short talk from me... I hope it wouldn't be too boring and certainly I do wish everyone who read this post enjoy as much as I do.

I love food, despite of sticking with my weight loss, I still allow myself have something I like, after all it is still Chinese New Year. Haha!

Next, it is my birthday! I got some treats from Kiehl's and well, since I have 10% off for my entire purchase (specially for my birthday month) I repurchased my acne saviour and some other skincare, happy!

You know what? A birthday isn't complete without a cake. My sister-in-law got me a cake and my hubby grandma cooked me red hard boiled egg. It is a Chinese custom to have red hard boiled egg during our birthday, some like a baby full moon. My mother-in-law bought some foods for my birthday celebration. Besides, this year, my birthday fell exactly the same date as Renri (人日), a day where human beings were created. It normally falls on the 7th day of the first month in Chinese Lunar Calender.

And off course, if there's celebration, there must be presents too.

This year, it is my very first time to do egg balanced or Chinese called it as LiChun (立春). I finally done my 1st egg standing still. It is unbelievable, my brother manage to do it on a thin glass bottle. Since I am just a beginner, better do it on floor. In case I fail and the egg break, it wouldn't be too much hassle to clean up.

Lastly, every 9th day of Chinese New Year, the Chinese Hokkien will have worship, BaiTianGong (拜天公 ) using sugar cane. Okay, it is really special occasion for me since I've never have such celebration before in my family. Since I'm married, so it is something new for me to see and to adapt into my hubby's family culture.
When the clock strikes 12am, the sky will fill with fireworks. It is time for the elder 2 men in family to take the sugar cane, burn the yellow paper and break the sugar cane into half. Uh....

That's all for this week weekdays. It was fun and happy with lots of occasion and celebration going on. Have a great weekends.
