Review: Cosmecnique Reviving Day Cream SPF 35

Sun damage be gone! The sun seems to bite my skin if I didn't apply sunscreen. It feels pain and then follow by a series of sunburn aftermath effects.

I've tried different types of sunscreen, some I like some I don't. I prefer sunscreen comes in tube form, it just easier to dispense and control the amount the I need. I also dislike sunscreens that are too oily and too runnier, well, everyone have different requirements and different skin types, so do I.

Again, it is another product from Cosmecnique. I noticed my freckles are getting worse than ever, some dark spots also pop out from my skin surface. Even my beautician also remind me of my pigmentation problems. Oh gosh! Every time I got my facial done by this beautician (Sharon), she will apply sunscreen onto my face after everything has done. I never think about getting the sunscreen she used onto my face, but somewhere in my mind, I was thinking what is she putting onto my face, it just feels good!

So, I told Sharon, and she claimed that this sunscreen will not clog pores, leaving skin dewy and fresh. Okay, I'm onto it. I bought it and used it alternately with my other sunscreen. I have to say, with this sunscreen I can leave my face powder/foundation behind. 

Again, simple yet practical packaging. It is small and travel friendly. I like the texture, creamy but not overly oily. I use this when my face looks dull/ dry. A pea size amount, rub between fingers and run across the entire face and I'm done. Of course, I need to do severe times to ensure proper SPF coverage.

Product details:

It has a very nice, soothing scent. I find the texture is creamy yet but spread onto skin easily. Once squeeze out from the tube, it looks like white paste, just gently rub between my fingers and apply onto my face. Because it is a white paste, I do notice over application might turn my entire face extremely white. 

I've some combination thoughts about the sunscreens but still something really worth to try.

Pros: Leaving skin soft and dewy. Skin looks healthy and pore appear smaller. The SPF 35 just perfect for my office work use. Only pea size amount will do, indirectly safe money. I like how my skin looks after putting on this sunscreen. I feel good just using it without topping up my face powder/foundation. I received many compliments from my customers about my skin too.

Cons: contains mineral oil. Pricey for such a small tube. Too much  sunscreen on face makes me look like "Casper the friendly ghost". Doesn't control oil, so not really suitable for oily-combination skin, you might end up like oil splash onto face.

Repurchase: Under consideration, it is freaking expensive.

Oveall, I have mixed ideas about this product. I like how well it works on my skin, making my skin looks super good, dewy and healthy. On the other hand, I'm worried about the side effects of mineral oil and it is so expensive. For a small amount, I gonna pay more than RM100, wow, that's a bit way too pricey for my preferences of a sunscreen. Anyway, I'm still liking it despite of the price and mineral oil in it. Whatever it is, always remember to put on sunscreen before you leave home.

Review: Biore UV Aqua Rich BB SPF50

Talking about current weather, the sun seems to bite my skin more than ever. The weather isn't good at all, most of the time it is extremely hot and dry. Things become even worse when I stay somewhere near the beach. Though I'm not super fanatic with fair skin, but seeing my skin become slightly tan make me feel a tiny bit uncomfortable and dang! freckles!

Few months ago, I saw some fellow bloggers posting about getting free sample for the newly release Biore UV Aqua BB. I went to facebook and click, I got a free sample, but it seriously make me wait until * neck long like a giraffe*.

Before the samples arrived, I went to Watson and got myself 1 big tube. I believe it was having promotion, so I bought at price around RM27.

As for the product details, everything pretty much already revealed in pictures attached.

First of all, I'm very pleased with the packaging. I think as I aged, I prefer simple packaging, not too fancy, so that I can travel with them easily. I like how it comes in a squeeze tube, hygienic wise and I'm able to control how much product I need.

It works more like a tinted sunscreen with SPF50. If you're have good skin/ minor skin problem, using this on its own is just fine. Concealer is needed for those who looking for a higher coverage. This item works best for paler skin probably people not tan than NC35.

I usually used it as sunscreen then set with my Stila Illuminating powder #10watts. I like how it looks on my skin, semi matte + glow. It does help in brighten and even out my skin tone. Sometimes I just apply it and I'm ready off to work. It doesn't feel sticky or heavy. Normally I will apply it from 9am-10pm, in between I do use some blotting paper to remove excess oil. I will consider the application is quite long lasting.

Next, talking about the texture, more like a combo of liquid and mousse. It blends on easily. I do feel and notice it hydrate some dry patch. A tube probably can last up to 3months.

Nevertheless, I will repurchase if I ran out the whole thing. Perfect for travelling.

Review: Clinelle UV Defense SPF28 (White)

Hello..... Sunny days make me happy...but not to forget application of sunscreen is utmost important.
I've been using the Cellnique sunscreen SPF 30 on and off but it between I replace it with the Clinelle sunscreen. I got it from pharmacy and after reading all the ingredients and product details I finally decided to invest some pennies for it.

Some product details, the pictures tell everything about it.

Since my skin has acting bad, I always take more precautions than ever before using or trying anything onto my face. Although it only has SPF28, I'm glad enough with how it makes my skin feel. I did feel a mild tingling sensation on my face, but I supposed it is alright. I didn't see any redness, instead I found it reduce redness and reduce acne breakout. The texture is light enough, I feel my skin is breathable each time I'm have it on. Sometimes, I just use it on its own without apply any base makeup.
I feel it makes my skin glow =]

Next for the packaging.....

It comes in tube form. No pump, just squeeze and you'll get the product. The sunscreen slightly watery, I like the texture, very easy to use and apply. Blends into skin nicely and no balling up after the next application. I found that some sunscreen balls up you foundation which is sucks and I absolutely hate it. I feel it does brightens up my whole complexion without causing any skin allergies. As for price, depends on the shop/pharmacy/ drugstore that you visit, price range around RM50-70, for the amount 50ml, it can last at least 1.5monts.
