Happy Mail ~♥

Hooray, hooray... I'm super excited each time the postman rang my door bell. I happy to see the postman because parcel reached me. Yes, finally.... It is just so thrilling.

I ordered the triplet Peter Thomas Roth gel mask. Yet to try them, just curious how great they are. I've been eyeing on Too Faced Natural Eyes since it released few years ago, never really bought it each time it was on sale. I'm glad that this time, it comes in a tin palette instead of the hard board box packing. Is time to change my wallet, it just too old to serve my, so I choose to buy fossil. It was on 33% off at Nordstorm. Glad that I picked it up.

A friend of mine, well, she actually helped me bought so much goodies. Seriously, we discuss on newly released makeup, special event (sales), skincares and much more. I'm so thankful and grateful to now her.
Pretty, thank you so much!

I got a new skincare set, thank God the Biotherm skincare is not too big in size, else it would have take my some times to finish them. Will definitely do a review soon.

My 1st ever YSL lipstick, so stunning and graceful, standing still right in front of me ... Gasp!!!

Blushes and MSF from the MAC Osbourne collection. Swatches and review up soon. Stay tune...

I'm going to have a short vacation these few days, meeting up some ex colleagues and university housemates.  Of course, I'm also excited to get some skincare/ makeup during this trip. Hopefully everything goes on smoothly as what have been planned.

Happy Weekends

Review: Drugstore Skincare Products

Couple weeks ago, I did some mini haul from the drugstore, keeping in mind that there are goodies available in drugstore. I've tried Naruko skincare products before, and seriously I think it works quite nicely and suits my skin. I decided not to go too, too crazy on the drugstore skincare, so I only picked up the Naruko Magnolia firming and brightening toner, Naruko Marjoram & lavender peeling gel, Naruko Rose & botanic HA moisturizer and Clinelle Thermal Spring water.

Well, since I'm such a skincare maniac, here's my thoughts about them.

Starts with Naruko Magnolia firming and brightening toner. It is has a soft, soothing flora scent, nothing special despites of the liquid serum like consistency. It applies nicely without drying out my skin, thanks for the alcohol free ingredients. The toner absorbs into my skin nicely without leaving making my skin feel sticky nor heavy. I do layer more skincare items later on for better hydration.
In terms of firming and brightening, I can't tell how well it works, simply because I'm quite fair and yet to see any significant aging signs on my skin. Well, keep my finger crossed it helps my sagging skin (that I didn't notice).

Next, I decided to talk about the Clinelle Pure Swiss Thermal Spring water. I have to say I don't like this at all. Firstly, the mist didn't spray out properly, water dripping around the nozzle then the whole bottle. Seriously, I'm freaking angry especially on those days I want to hydrate my skin quickly. Another thing, it stings my face, I've never encounter any issues with my Avene face mist, Uriage face mist, name it most of the French drugstore face mist that available in drugstore. At first it stings, then my skin turns red and warm, probably due to sensitive or allergy reaction. Oh my...this is a total disappointment. I will not repurchase it.

As for Naruko Marjoram & lavender peeling gel, thumbs up. I enjoying using it because it is so fast. The product is easy to use, hassle free. The scent is slightly awkward but the outcome is pretty good. My skin feels smooth and soft. The skincare products that apply on later sinks into my skin nicely. Anyway, I don't think it should be use too frequent, I only use it once and maximum up to twice a week only. The brightening effect is there but doesn't last long, I would say around 1-2days. This peeling gel is only remove dead skin cells but it will not unclog pores, so if you've serious pores clogged issues, please use face scrub and mud mask (just my suggestion).

I like to keep the best for last. The new version of  Naruko Rose & Botanic HA aqua cubic moisturizer EX.
Talking about rose, the rose scent smells adorable but it might be a bit over powering for some people. I like the texture very much, is more like a thick serum but apply onto skin like a dream. Most important is it doesn't feel oily nor sticky. My skin certainly feels more plump and hydrated after application.

Do you have any drugstore skincare recommendation? I would love to know and give them a try !

I'm Hooked - Kiehl's

I guess, I'm hooked. I've been using Kiehl's skincare awhile now, I think they works what it claimed and most importantly it doesn't give me skin rashes/ allergic.
Last month, I invested  on some new products to try out after trying the samples and also to repurchase some of my skin's necessities - kill acne!

I've some points to claim for RM100 voucher, and I think I'm sort of out of control. I admit I'm such a skincare maniac and I ended up with all these things, including some deluxe samples and a travel friendly toiletry bag.

What I got?

  • Ultra facial cleanser which has been working well for my combination skin.
  • Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque to drag out all the impurities from my pores, keeping'em tight and small. I noticed it smooths my skin too.
  • Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin Clearing Treatment, backups just in case I run out my current one
  • Blue Herbal Moisturizer (new item to try, hopefully it will work for me)
  • Micro Blur Skin Perfector (new item to try, how I wish those pores can be gone, oh!)
Review for some of items mentioned will be up soon. Still taking some times to see how it works and reacts.

I'm so happy with the toiletry bags. It comes with red and blue, but my brother thought blue looks better.
I like how spacious it is and able to fit it quite many full size skincare.

Well, well.... I'm getting a bit drowsy now, is time for bed.

Review: Hada Labo Lavender/ Whitening Hand Cream

Hello, I've been a fan of hand cream/ hand lotions. Since I'm staying in an air-conditioning room for almost 24/7, having a hand cream has become a must for me. My hands, especially the edges around my nails will start to peel off and it isn't nice to look at nor good to touch. Ouch!

I spotted the Hada Labo hand cream awhile back, but never really got the interest to try it. Well, this time, I decided to give it a try. It comes with 2 variations, another one is rose -pink color tube, which is meant for hydration. I think I like lavender scent better, so I picked up this purple buddy.

It contains:

  • Arbutin and lavender essential oil which can maintain the youthfulness of our hands
  • Contains hyaluronic acid which can maintain & hydrate the hands
  • Contains vitamin E and vitamin B5 which will repair dry and dehydrated skin
  • The lavender essential oil is obtain from Europe. The scent is soothing and relaxing, plus what's great about it is that it helps to whiten the skin and keeping our hands more hydrated and supple.
  • Coloring, fragrance and mineral oil free.
A month of friendship with this purple buddy, I would like to say, it works quite well. I have less problem with skin peel off around the edges of my nails and less scaly hands. The scent is very calming too. However, I still couldn't tell if it really helps in whiten my hands. The cream itself is quite creamy, very easy to rub and blend into the skin. It also doesn't leave any oil or sticky residue after apply. I like to reapply the hand cream from time to time as I'm dealing with lots of paper work which sometimes got myself a bad papercut ( >.<)
Price is slightly higher than regular drugstore hand cream, I still think is consider more affordable than those high end hand cream.

Overall, I give it a thumbs up. Anyone who like the lavender scent, you'll definitely like it. I don't think it will serve well for terribly dry winter weather as you will have to reapply quite regularly. For me, this is a good hand cream for my current needs yet didn't burden my wallet.

I Do Really Appreciate Sunday

Rise and shine! Is Sunday again, oh my.... is a special Sunday for me because I'm off today and hopefully I would be able to spend the rest of the day with my hubby and doing some happy little hobbies and boring house chores. Today, I'm not going to talk about beauty related things but I would like to share how happy and excited I am for Sunday and rambling about it. It has been awhile I didn't do such post.

Since I've been moved to this new place 2 years ago, I didn't have Sunday off each week, my Sunday off depends on shift and workload and staffs availability. I do find it a bit nerve wrecking and clench fist but I'm not going to feel upset because when you know how to appreciate the not so easy to get Sunday off, it is something very special and happy day.

Most of the Sunday I will visit my little bro since he is staying alone for study, I will pay him my visit whenever I can, sort of family time and I'm really content with that. Sometimes, I will shop together with my hubby, walking around here and day, enjoy the crisp air, I'm happy. And there's just too many sometimes for me to share here.... countless of words to describe how much I enjoy and appreciate my Sunday off.

Part of my Sunday routine if I'm off and free from work, I will love to enjoy some nice meal with my family and the love ones. Hubby and I recently encounter a new Japanese restaurant nearby the seaside, I think it tastes lovely. I enjoy Japanese food and Italian food very much, match with my taste bud I supposed.

Then, I will spend sometime chit chatting with my mom trough the phone. Doing some bakery if I'm in the mood, sipping numerous cups of tea, munching butter cookies.... oh, isn't it lovely and nice?

My point of view for Sunday is it has to be really relaxing and nothing related with work. I'm not sure if I really like my current job but sometimes, I just wish I have my regular working hours from Monday till Friday and Saturday, Sunday off. How much I've missed those days...  Sunday is the time I spent to do things I enjoy and not to forget, go to church (if you're Christian).  Sunday is the day whereby the shopping center is packed with lots of peoples and hardly to find a car park, but sometimes, when I pondered back, I do really miss those Sundays. Sundays should be happy instead of sad, Sundays remind me of my late grandfather. Oh, Sunday......

In case you are like me, need to work on Sundays shift every month, try to have those happy thoughts in your mind, it will make you feel better and merrier.

Review: Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil & Argan Oil

Weather changes can be good and bad sometimes. Good, because it is either turn into the comfortable type, bad because skin needs time and more nutrient/ hydration/ oil to protect it from skin disaster.

I've been a huge cleansing oil lovers as well as essential oil lovers for few years now. When I saw Josie Maran having this travel set, it immediately caught my attention and the tiny devils inside me. Oh, I must have this. Ha...

Talking about the argan oil, many beauty gurus have been raving about how great it feels on the skin and hair. Well, I do survey 1st before put in my order. I'm keeping my fingers crossed before try it out. Well, 1 month test, I think it passed with merit.

My thoughts for the argan oil:
I thought it smells terrible actually, because those vitamin E oil smells terrible and oil most of the times has those old lady scent which scares me off. Anyway, this Josie Maran argan oil doesn't has too much scent actually, thank God it is quiet light weight and absorb nicely into the skin.
I like to have 2-3 drops onto my palm, rub it and apply onto the ends of my hair. I can't tell if it really helps to prevent split ends but my hair do feel smooth afterwards and less frizzy. I also notice my long hair has become less tangle.
As for my skin, since I've oily to combination skin, I will not simply putting oil onto my face unless the oil is really meant only for face. I apply the oil onto my skin especially on area such as elbow, feet and cuticles. It helps to prevent dry patches keep it soft and supple. Unlike other oils which I've tried before, usually leave an oily and sticky residue on skin, but with this argan oil, I found it absorb really well without leaving any footprints or hand prints on places I've contacted with.
The travel size itself contains 15mL of pure argan oil which is quiet a lot for me, after all, I really didn't use that much. 2-3drops is just enough for my hair or even whole body.

My thoughts for the cleansing oil:
I don't really bother whether the cleansing oil is organic or not, most important is it how well it can cleanse my skin after the whole day with dirts, oils and makeup sitting on my face.
The oil is very thick and I do feels it heats up a little bit when rub onto my skin. Not sure if everyone have this heating issue, but I suppose it is activated when contacted with skin. It has a strong orange/citrus/flower scent, at first it was really nice to sniff but day by day, I find the scent is a little bit irritating because for me, it smells like children cough/flu syrup. Well, working in the pharmacy I don't think I want to sniff more medicine scent after reach home. It is just way too crazy I think. Anyway, I'm always good in tolerating with scent, so as long as it didn't make me sneeze, I'm still okay with it.
It removes my makeup very nicely and once it contacted with water, it emulsifies immediately. Sometimes, I just use this cleansing oil without follow up with another foam cleanser. Once it is emulsifies, it turns into a thick almost like a gel cleanser white cast on the skin, then, continue massage with more water and then rinse off. My skin feels really clean, I mean squeaky clean afterwards.
I keep the tiny bottle with me because next time, I can dispense my other cleansing oil into it. The tiny bottle is easy to carry around and perfect for travel. Plus, I just need to press the cap and it is ready to be used.

Overall, this Josie Maran Argan Oil set is amazing. I like the idea of include 2 products into 1 tiny travel set so that customers can try out 2 things at once. The products work well for me, I'm not sure if I will repurchase it, but still it is a good set to try out.

Weight Loss Update #1

Wink, wink.... I would like to start this post as my weight loss update #1 after joining the Curves workout for 3 months, and the outcome..... holy moly, it is quite successful. I'm still working on it.

I'm proudly to tell I've loss:
cm: 32cm
body fats: 2.5%
Kg: 3.5kg

Weight loss is not a monthly program, for me, it is a long term goal, just work for it and be consistent.
Of course, not to forget to control the food intake and try to eat as clean as possible. Stay away from fast food and refine sugar.

Eat your breakfast everyday with a variety of fruits, proteins and complex carbohydrate such as oat/ grains.
Eat your lunch with more vegetables and white meat, try to stay away from process food and fast food. It will not make you full and eventually you will start to crave for food 3-4hours later.
Eat your dinner as simple as possible.
Never ever skip your meal. Eat wisely, choose a nutritious food meal.
Exercise regularly including cardio workout, stretching and strength training.

Below are the examples of food that I had for dinner.

Always remember, nothing is impossible but of course, no pain, no gain.
Let's keep on moving and strive our very best. Healthy body, healthy mind!

Review: Anastasia Brow Wiz # Brunette

Talking about brows, I think other than obediently putting on sunscreen before I leave the house, brows is probably the second thing I must get it done before I heading out.

I've always wanted to try the famous Anastasia Brow Wiz, everyone seems to enjoy and talking great things about it, oh dear, how can I miss it !

Using it for almost a month on everyday basis, I've to say I'm in love with it. Whenever I picked up a brow pencil I will make sure it attached with a brush, so that I will not have to bring another brush for my brows.
The packaging is classy and chic, very light weight and easy to carry around.
The brow crayon is slightly thinner than what I expect it to be, but nonetheless, I'm really happy with my purchase. I've dark and almost black hair color, so getting shade in brunette is almost and close to perfect match.
It is really easy to use, I believe it will be as easy as ABC for a beginner. Since the crayon itself is quite thin, it is easy to control the strokes and the shapes you want to fill in the brows. It is easy to draw onto the skin as well, not streaky or too soft/too creamy, especially when I wanted to have a thinner brows with higher arch.  After that, just use the attached brush, brush trough the brows, viola! I'm done!

Sorry for my oily face, the photo was taken at the end of the day after almost 13-14hours working hours. I find it looks natural and long lasting.

In case you are on budget, I highly recommend to try the Za brow pencil which is way more affordable.

My brow wiz is almost finish soon, repurchase seems to be a must for me now.

Price: USD 21
Volume: 0.003oz
Color range: 9shades, very good and easy to choose for a perfect match

Overall I give this a thumbs up. Price and quality is equivalent. It is so convenient and easy to use.

Review: Korres Lip Butter # Pomegranate

Hello, I'm back with a short review. Well, I bought this tiny jar last month and I thought it is time to share my thoughts about it.

It has 6 colors to choose from, starting from clear sheen towards deep/darker red but all are very sheer yet buildable, depends on individual needs. For me, I like it to be sheer or semi opaque.

Price: USD 12
Volume: 6g

I got mine in shade pomegranate (sheer coral) which I think is pretty neutral and natural, perfect for every day use. Good thing is it compliments nicely with my skin tone so I will not have to use lipstick or lipgloss every day. You know I do have days which I just don't really feel like putting on lip color.

First of all, I'm enjoying the color, texture, light scent very much. However, since I've a picky and untamed lips, not all lip products work for me. Even thought it is a lip butter, I find it dries out my lips quite easily and I can't just use this alone without putting on a layer of clear lipbalm on top or underneath it. It does last about 4hours on me and I started to notice peeling and cracking on my lips. Application goes on like a dream and create a really nice sheen. I'm just adore with the outcome, despite the lip peeling part.
Another issue is it comes in pot, easy to carry around but it is not so hygienic to dip my fingers in. I don't consider it is a good way nor a convenient way for touch up. At the end, I still need to have a wet tissue with me to clean my fingers.

Overall, I consider it as an affordable products but the formulation is a bit disappointing. I was hoping it to be more  moisturizing. As for the packaging part and finger dipping issues, I'm still willing to tolerate with it, after all, it isn't a big deal if I have wet tissue with me.

Is All About My Drugstore Products Adventure For The Month of May

Hello... well, today is all about drugstore products... and seriously, I think I liking them a lot.

So, start with the stuffs in my bathroom

  1. Sunsilk Damage Reconstruction Conditioner - cheap and effective, leaving my hair soft and fluffy
  2. Tsubaki Head Spa Extra Cleansing with Essential Oil - deep cleanse my scalp, leaving a cool sensation before rinse off. I feel it strips off my natural hair oil, so after use, I must follow up with a conditioner. Use once a week. Well, no more itchy/oily scalp for now.
  3. Nivea In-shower conditioner (Normal skin)-  after shower, just lather it all over the body, leave it for about 1min, and rinse off. I think it is quite fast and easy, but I'm not really liking the sticky hint left behind. So.... I give this a thumb down.
  4. Neutrogena Deep Cleanse (Brightening, Mulberry) Cleansing Foam - I'm in love with this, gentle yet effective. I actually got quite a lot compliments on my skin lately. It smells amazing too. The dispenser pump out just the perfect amount of foam for my entire face :)
  5. Lactacyd Feminine Wash (Nourish) - seriously I think this works better for me as compare with the other versions. Smell fresh and just keeps my V clean. I'm a loyal user.
  6. Simple Kind to Skin Exfoliating Body Wash - no scent and more like a gel consistency. It contains loofah which works as the exfoliator. I think daily use is okay, but if you are looking for a higher strength of exfoliation for the body, this is slightly too gentle.
  7. Dove Instense Repair Shampoo - one word : perfect ! Even without using conditioner my hair is still soft and smooth. Well, so far so good, I didn't see any split ends appear.

Next move to the face part: skincare!

  1. Olay White Radiance Brightening Intensive Serum 50mL - it just does what it says. My skin become fairer, seriously and my beautician was keep on asking me what I've done to my skin. lol. It applies easily, just 2-3pumps and it absorbs quite fast too, no oily at all.
  2. Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Moisturizer - I'm just so addicted to this thing. Basically, it just keeps my skin clean and matte but not drying.
  3. Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer - I only use this at night, not every night but 3-4 times a week, when I'm too tired to layer my skincare and just want to have a quick moisturizer. Squeeze, rub between my palm, spread onto face. Viola! Somehow, I really not liking to massage it on my face because I notice the longer I massage/apply onto my face, the vitamin E scents become stronger. Hmm, I just not enjoy that scent.
  4. Palmer's Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Lip Butter - nice name, nice scent, nice texture
  5. Sunplay SPF60, PA+++ - first of all, I got this simply because the lil chick is so cute, yellow is cheerful color. The sunscreen itself is runny, shake well before use. Just like a regular sunscreen.

And now for my feet. Keep it simple. I received a sample size of Ellgy cracked heel cream last month which came in with my monthly must read magazine, so I tried it and miracle happens. I noticed my heels become smoother, well, obviously I don't have the perfect "NO CRACKED HEELS". So 1 day application keep it hydrate, 2nd day application I started to see less noticeable cracked heels, and some dry patches have been cleared off. Once the little sample finished, I quickly bought a tube, just so happy to tell, it heals my cracked heels! Wheeee ~~
(p.s -- the socks is perfect in size, stretchable and breathable, I wear it after apply the cream)

I even use drugstore products before heading to work:

  1. Clinelle Powder Compact (Ivory) - super natural on my skin, very flattering. Most important is the matte finish, not cakey, no problem for my pores size too.
  2. Revlon Brow Crayon (Dark Brown) - almost matches my original brow color. 2-3 strokes, and use the spoolie attached, and I got a nice and natural looking brow.
  3. Za Ever Brow (Natural Brown) - super easy to use of compare with the Revlon Brow Crayon, totally dump proof, perfect for beginners. I also like the little spoolie attached. Well, I think I just meet my drugstore holy grail for my brows. As much as I like my Revlon one, I can assure you, I like this very, very, verrrrrrry much! Thanks Cynthia for recommend this to me.
  4. Za Perfect Fit Concealer (02) - just nice. Well, I might looking for another brand to try out. So far, I'm quite satisfy with it.

Lastly, is all about my lotions. When you stay in a cool, dry condition, whether you like it or not, you must have lotions, so do I.

1. Vaseline Hand and Nails Lotion- Smell good. Very smooth and soft, non oily.
2. Nivea Intensive Moisture Body Milk - I can't believe I'm actually liking this more and more. Really soothes my dry skin, bye bye itchy skin and Hello silky soft skin.
3. Vaseline Total Moisture Nourishing lotion - I use this a long time ago, probably during my University years. Basically I like Vaseline lotions, smells good and non sticky. The only Vaseline lotion I can't use is the pink bottle lotion : Perfect 10, B3, Whitening... the list goes on. I think I'm allergic to the perfume in it, making my skin very itchy.

Wow.... such a long, long journey and story to tell about my drugstore products adventure. I guess, that's all for today. I like using drugstore products, they are affordable and quite efficient. Looking forward for more drugstore products adventure in the future.

Have a nice day!

Review: Naruko Arbutin Intensive Brightening Mask

Is time for my another review for the Naruko sheet masks. I just think they work wonderful to my skin. I've decided to try out almost all of the Naruko Essential line sheet masks simply because they are amazing!

Without further ado, here's my thoughts for the arbutin intensive brightening mask. Same as my previous posts regarding about the Naruko sheet masks, it comes in 5pcs/box with a very affordable price and great quality. Someone asked me if Naruko sheet masks is better than the famous MBD (My Beauty Dairy) mask, so here's my answer. Yes, I personally do think it is better and the cloth itself is thicker and able to stay on my face for about 20-30mins without drying out and still remain very wet and soaked with all the essence. If you are looking for more quantity go for MBD but if you don't mine about that, you can give the Naruko sheet masks a try. Just to clarify, I do like MBD but if I'm looking for a more luxurious one, I'll go for Naruko sheet mask. Price wise, I think it is almost the same, doesn't gives too much burden to my wallet.

I don't think I've noticed an incredible outcome after used, all I can tell is,  it is really hydrating and smells good. My skin definitely feels more plump and less oily.

As compare with the Naruko VC Brightening & Deep Hydrating Mask, I think that one works better and truly can notice a huge difference before and after. Arbutin is marked as one of the key ingredients in brighten up the complexion but for this, I'm sorry to tell, it just didn't show any significant difference.

Overall, it is still good for the intense hydration feel to my skin. I don't think I'll repurchase this, instead, I'll just stick my hands on the VC Brightening & Deep Hydrating series, simply because it seems to work more effective to my skin.

Have a great weekends ahead~

Weekends Highlights

Talking about weekends, seriously it just makes me feel more homesick. I enjoyed last weekends very much, I got to see my parents and sibling, and my grandma. So, tell you what, I ate 3 cakes in a week. Haha, that's a lot for me, thank God for giving me such wonderful time with family.

This cake for my mother-in-law, we celebrated earlier before I heading back home.

This is the strawberry cake I baked for my mom, I was in rush so I used those ready made packet but I also added in some blueberries.

And the last cake, is for my grandma.... made of Pandan leaves, super delicious and most important, grandma was very, very happy on that day!

Lastly, I decided not to bake muffins so I baked a quick bread for hubby!

** everyone seems liking this quick bread, it was completely gone from the dining table the next morning **

How's your last weekends? I hope it was a good one and a memorable one for you too.
Looking forward for more lovely weekends ahead~

Buying Just Makes Me Happy

Hello, the title itself simply describe how happy I am right now. I've bought some skincare as well as makeup  stuff, not too much but is already enough to create a happiness impact to me.

I joined Sephora spree with a sweet blogger aka Cynthia last month, and turn out I bought them home. Hooray! I've been wanted to try out the Anastasia brow wiz for so long, everyone in the blogger/Youtube seems liking and raving this a lot. Can't wait to try it!
Also got my wishlist Josie Maran travel size cleansing oil with Argan oil and Korres lip butter in pomegranate. Since I've really into simply makeup and skincare these days, I decided to try out the bareMinerals Complexion Kit. Cynthia also include Clarins and Givenchy samples for me... thank you!

The highlight of my Sephora spree, I invested on a Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush. I saw swatches and review from the famous blogger and Youtuber -- Raeview and I just hooked by the gorgeous outcome. Moreover, this product seems to be one of the hype in 1st quarter of 2014, how can I possibly missed it. I discussed with Cynthia and she recommended me to try this and so she helped me placed my order...
It looks really pretty, can't wait to try it!

Now, move to my Kiehl's skincare part, I enjoy using products from Kiehl's very much, especially their serums, they are amazing and my skin loves it. I got the Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, oh my, this is so important for me to clear my dark acne spots and marks. This month Kiehl's is having jumbo size for the Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate, since I'm already in my mid twenties, it's better for me to start my anti-aging skincare. I got some samples to try out as well.  The Ultra Facial Cleanser is really nice and gentle to my combination skin, thinking to get the full size. ha!

Overall, buying my skincare and cosmetics just makes me feel so happy. Thank you Cynthia for your recommendation and suggestion. I'll do a review and swatches next week, so stay tune.
Have a nice day!

Workout at Curves & Post Workout Food

After posting about joining to Curves gym workout for almost 3 weeks now, I've been trying to eat clean and less carbohydrate. Happy news, I've loss 1 kg. Yeah.....

Here's how the Curves workout gym looks like. There are different types of 'exercise machine' targeted for each part of body muscle. Coaches will be standing in the middle, guiding each of the members. We also workout together with the music tempo, mainly just make sure you're keep on moving. Each machine is separated with a recovery board for you to dance/shake your entire body/ follow the coaches instructions.

Once I've completed my 2 rounds of workout using all the machines, I'll walk to the stretching part. There are 4 sections at this stretching station. Stretching is so torturing, seriously is like pulling the muscle making it looks more elongate. Well, that's just what I think.
The whole workout only takes 30mins, short but pretty intense. I sweat a lot and my heart beats just keep on accelerating!

** Pictures with permission by the Curves center manager **

I workout every single day except for Sunday because the gym close on Sunday. I normally will start of the food of the day with fruits juice.  It has been almost 3 weeks since I started to workout and having fruits juice every morning seems to be a must for me.

I don't blend fruits together with vegetables, simply because I don't like how it tastes later on.
eg: bananas, apples, oranges, kiwi, blueberries, pears (sometimes I just picked 2-3 types of fruits as listed)
What type of fruits juice I've each day depends on the fruits that is available in the market, but having an apples and orange everyday is a must have ingredients.

I've talked to pharmacists and capsicum is a very good vegetables for detox and boost up metabolism. I don't fancy the scent and the taste of it, but for the sake of its benefits I just gallop it. This is what I've as my detox juice, I don't take this everyday, normally once a week is good enough for my taste bud. I don't enjoy it very much. Review about this detox juice, I would say, it is amazing, I feel hot after drinking it because it is working in boosting my metabolism, and also helps bowel movement. I only use 1/3 of capsicum, 1 tomato. 1 lemon and 1 stick of celery.

After I have all the fruits juice, I will take a shower and then, enjoy few glass of hot tea if I'm not in the rush to work. Currently, I'm obsessed with this tea. It smells so good, I don't think it has any taste though.

I don't just take juices/ tea for my breakfast. That's so not my style... I don't think starving myself will be benefit to my health. I reduced my carb intake but at the same time, I've added more protein, vegetables and fibre into my dietary. Well, I'm not a nutritionist but common sense, eating wisely without starving the body is utmost important.

Here's the example of my post workout food after the juices. Normally I eat them all after shower, so that the fruits juice I've consumed earlier has better absorption in my stomach (I think).

Semi cooked eggs with pepper and soy sauce.... wooo, I'm super happy with the food goes into my hungry stomach. haha!

That's all for today sharing ~
